Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni Book Launched to Great Appreciation
Senior journalist and author Bhageeratha was widely appreciated for his deep research and writing at the book launch of “Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni”. The programme was held on Thursday at the Film Nagar Cultural Centre.
Renowned writer Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, President of the Telugu Film Writers Association, attended the event as the chief guest. He praised Bhageeratha’s dedication to literature and research and said that his works deserve a Doctorate. He mentioned books like Shakapurushudu, Tarakaramam, Nagaladevi, and Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni as outstanding scholarly contributions. He also spoke with great respect about Krishnaveni Garu, who introduced N.T. Rama Rao to Telugu cinema, and congratulated both author Bhageeratha and producer Anuradha Devi for bringing out such an important biography.
Directors Association President Veera Shankar said Bhageeratha is an experienced and committed writer. He noted that Shakapurushudu and Tarakaramam, released during NTR’s centenary year, clearly show his writing strength. He added that Nagaladevi and Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni reflect his serious research approach.
Director B. Gopal shared that Bhageeratha is one of his favourite journalists and praised his unique writing style. He said the book beautifully presents not only Krishnaveni’s life but also the journey of Telugu cinema.
Veteran actress Rojaramani described Krishnaveni Garu as a great inspiration for many generations of actresses and congratulated the author and producer for documenting her inspiring life.
Gummadi Gopalakrishna mentioned that the book was inaugurated last month by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He said the Chief Minister showed great admiration for Bhageeratha’s work and added that the book is a valuable contribution to Telugu cinema. He also felt that a biopic on Krishnaveni could be made using this book alone.
Professor R. Devanna said that after reading Nagaladevi, he became a strong admirer of Bhageeratha. He shared that the book was included as a syllabus text for B.Sc. students at Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ballari. He thanked Bhageeratha for giving him the opportunity to write the foreword for Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni.
Speaking at the event, Bhageeratha credited producer Anuradha Devi as the main support behind the book and said it would not have been possible without her encouragement. He described Krishnaveni as an extraordinary woman who rose from humble beginnings to become a legendary actress and producer. He also expressed his sincere thanks to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for inaugurating the book.
The programme concluded with journalists and well-wishers felicitating Bhageeratha. Several prominent personalities from the film and literary world attended the event and extended their support.
