  ‘Fight Maha’ Trailer Unveiled; Sunil and Akhil Uddemari Headline an Intriguing Psychological Thriller

The much-awaited trailer of ‘Fight Maha’, an upcoming psychological thriller starring Sunil and Akhil Uddemari in the lead roles, has been unveiled, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film. Featuring Dr. Srivani Gopichand, Vaishnavi, Siddharth and Srikanth Ayyangar in key roles, the film promises a distinctive blend of dreams, psychological conflict, suspense and hidden truths.

Directed by Anand Chandra, ‘Fight Maha’ carries the intriguing tagline, “If dreams come true, whose truth is it?” The 2-minute-20-second theatrical trailer offers glimpses into the film’s mysterious world and raises several questions about the characters, their dreams and the reality surrounding them.

The film explores the unusual concept of sleepwalking, while weaving together themes of mental health, destiny, guilt, dreams and concealed truths. The story revolves around Maha, the male protagonist, who finds himself battling several challenges in life—forming the basis for the title ‘Fight Maha’.

Produced by AVS Raju, R. Kumar Raju and Anand Chandra under the banner of New I Movies LLP, the film was shot extensively across Visakhapatnam, Kerala and Hyderabad. Despite Sunil and Akhil Uddemari being prominently featured on the poster, the movie boasts a large ensemble cast of nearly 40 actors.

The film’s teaser, released last month by filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, crossed one million views and generated strong curiosity among viewers. The newly released trailer is expected to further build momentum ahead of the theatrical release.

Director Anand Chandra said that while sleepwalking has been explored in cinema before, the treatment in ‘Fight Maha’ will offer something fresh for Telugu audiences. He described the film as an innovative psychological thriller that combines dreams, mental illness, destiny, guilt and hidden truths. He also highlighted the film’s underlying message that setbacks and disappointments should never stop people from moving forward.

Producer AVS Raju expressed confidence in Anand Chandra’s storytelling, stating that the strength of the script itself motivated the team to produce the film. He also praised the director’s execution and recalled the positive response received by the teaser.

‘Fight Maha’ is set to hit theatres worldwide on August 21.
