 Story

Operation Padma begins with a political upheaval that sends shockwaves across the state. Former Home Minister Nandi Kishore resigns from his post and publicly exposes a large-scale corruption scandal tied to the Civil Supplies department. Overnight, he becomes a symbol of integrityand a serious threat to those in power.

To eliminate him, an elite assassin named Kuldeep is brought into the picture, a man whose record suggests absolute precision and zero hesitation. Anticipating the danger, a covert group of private investigators is assembled under the codename “Operation Padma.” Relying on surveillance, deception, and psychological tactics, the team attempts to stay one step ahead in a relentless battle where intelligence matters more than firepower.

Performances

Ranadheer Beesu delivers a restrained yet intimidating performance as Kuldeep, making the character chilling through calm menace rather than loud villainy. His screen presence adds constant tension to the narrative.

The investigative team functions effectively as a unit, with Raghupathi Reddy Gunda and Rajitha Sandy standing out for their intensity and emotional grounding. The female characters are portrayed as capable and decisive, breaking away from routine stereotypes and contributing meaningfully to the mission’s progress.

Technical Aspects

Director Karthikeya V maintains a disciplined approach, ensuring the film stays rooted in investigation rather than drifting into generic action territory. The action sequences choreographed by Akhil Nakirekanti are gritty and believable, especially the close-quarter combat scenes.

The cinematography effectively conveys secrecy and suspense through moody lighting and tight frames, while Subhash Anand’s background score subtly amplifies the tension. Editing by JK Frames significantly sharpens the second half, helping the film gain momentum as it narrows its focus on the central conflict.

Verdict

Operation Padma is a grounded and earnest investigative thriller that prioritizes strategy and psychological tension over spectacle. Though the first half unfolds at a measured pace, the film finds strong footing once it zeroes in on the central operation. With its political undercurrent and intense cat-and-mouse narrative, the film offers a thoughtful, if restrained, genre experience.
