Nandamuri Balakrishna’s SciFi Classic Aditya 369 Returns to Theaters on April 11th
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Aditya 369, India's first timetravelbased scifi film, is all set for a grand rerelease on April 11th. Directed by the legendary Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies, this timeless classic is returning to the big screen with a brandnew 4K restoration and upgraded 5.1 sound.
Released 34 years ago, Aditya 369 was a groundbreaking film in Indian cinema, earning both critical and audience acclaim. From its futuristic concept to Balakrishna’s stellar performance in dual roles as Sri Krishnadevaraya and Krishna Kumar, the film remains a fan favorite.
Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad expressed his excitement, sharing that his team worked for six months to enhance the film’s visuals and audio for a superior theatrical experience. He fondly recalled the contributions of music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, writer Jandhyala, and cinematographers PC Sreeram, VSR Swamy, and Kabir Lal, whose work made the film unforgettable.
He also paid tribute to the legendary SP Balasubrahmanyam for his support in bringing this iconic film to life. The presence of Bollywood’s top villain Amrish Puri and actor Tinnu Anand added to the movie’s grandeur.
