Namrata Shirodkar inaugurates Andhra Pradesh’s first Mother’s Milk Bank at Andhra Hospitals and launches a free cervical cancer vaccination drive for girls, advancing maternal and child healthcare.

Namrata Shirodkar, representing the Mahesh Babu Foundation, inaugurated Andhra Pradesh’s first Mother’s Milk Bank at Andhra Hospitals, a milestone in neonatal healthcare. This initiative ensures newborns receive essential nutrition through carefully screened breast milk donations, benefiting infants whose mothers are unable to nurse.

In addition to the milk bank, she launched a cervical cancer vaccination drive for girls aged 9 to 18 years, aiming to vaccinate 1,500 girls by 2025, completely free of cost.

Reaffirming the Mahesh Babu Foundation’s dedication to children's health, Namrata highlighted their impact over the past decade, facilitating 4,500+ pediatric heart surgeries in collaboration with Andhra Hospitals. The foundation continues to expand its medical initiatives, ensuring life-saving treatments reach those in need.

During her visit, Namrata spent time with young patients in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU, celebrating their recovery and sharing heartfelt moments. “Every step we take is towards a healthier future for children,” she expressed.

With these healthcare initiatives, the Mahesh Babu Foundation and Andhra Hospitals are transforming lives, reinforcing their commitment to maternal and child health across Andhra Pradesh.
