M4M Actress Jo Sharma Says Film Has A Never-Before-Seen Concept

“I Want To Be Known As Beauty With Brains” – M4M Actress Jo Sharma Interview

Upcoming suspense thriller M4M: Motive For Murder is creating good buzz even before release. Directed by Mohan Vadlapatla, the film stars American actress Jo Sharma in the lead role and is set for a worldwide release on May 8 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

In a recent interaction, Jo Sharma spoke about her role, the film’s unique concept, international awards, and her journey into Indian cinema.

Q: Tell us about yourself and your film M4M.

Jo Sharma:

Hi everyone! I’m Jo Sharma from San Francisco, USA. M4M: Motive For Murder is my debut Indian film. It is releasing in five languages, which is very exciting for me.

I play the role of Radha, a crime investigative journalist. The film is a suspense thriller with many twists and surprises.

Q: How was your experience working in India?

Jo Sharma:

I come from a theatre background in America and also run a theatre production company there. I trained with director Mohan Vadlapatla for nearly three years before this film.

I also worked as a co-writer for the movie along with Mohan sir and Rahul Adabala. That helped me understand my character better.

Q: Your film won many awards before release. How does that feel?

Jo Sharma:

It feels amazing. M4M received around 15 international film festival awards before release.

We got recognition at festivals in Los Angeles, London, New York, Hollywood, and Santa Monica. I also received Best Actress awards, and our director won Best Director awards.

One of the proud moments for us was screening the film at the Cannes Film Festival. The response there was unforgettable.

Q: What is special about the story?

Jo Sharma:

The movie is about a serial killer, but the interesting part is how he presents the crime scenes. After every murder, the bodies are arranged like famous paintings inspired by artists such as Raja Ravi Varma and Picasso.

It is a very different concept and every scene keeps the audience guessing. The makers have even announced a prize money of one lakh rupees for anyone who correctly guesses the villain.

Q: Tell us about the making of the film.

Jo Sharma:

The movie was produced by Mohan Media Creations and Mac Queen Group USA. Most of the shooting happened in Hyderabad.

The team worked very hard to maintain good production quality without compromise.

Q: How do you speak Telugu so well?

Jo Sharma:

I was born in Hyderabad and later grew up in Nagpur and Mumbai. My parents are from Vijayawada and Guntur, so Telugu has always been part of my life.

I can also speak Hindi and Marathi fluently.

Q: Which actors do you like in Tollywood?

Jo Sharma:

I admire Chiranjeevi sir, Balakrishna sir, Nagarjuna sir, and Venkatesh sir. I would love to work with actors from both Tollywood and Bollywood.

I enjoy doing strong and action-oriented roles.

Q: Finally, what would you like to say to the audience?

Jo Sharma:

M4M stands for Motive For Murder. The film gives a fresh thriller experience and I hope audiences enjoy it.

My goal is to be remembered as a “Beauty With Brains.
