“‘Doordarshini’ Based on a Real Incident Will Touch Every Heart” – Hero Suvikshit
Doordarshini, a feel-good romantic entertainer inspired by a real-life incident, stars Suvikshit and Geetika Ratan in lead roles. Directed by Karthikeya Kommi, the film is produced by Jay Shankar Reddy M and Patimeedi Santosh under the Varaha Movie Makers banner. The film has completed all formalities and is set to release on May 15. Ahead of its release, a promotional meet was held in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, Gemini Suresh said, “After overcoming many hurdles, the film is finally ready for release. On May 15, tune your ‘antenna of the heart’ towards Doordarshini. It’s a film that will truly connect with everyone. I got a different role in this movie, and I’m sure it will be appreciated. Director Karthikeya Kommi said, “Many think this is just a love story, but it has elements that will connect with parents, youth, and society as a whole. It will remind everyone of the 90s era, especially the days when people eagerly waited for programs like Chitralahari. The film carries strong emotions and will touch hearts deeply. It will take audiences back to their golden days. I believe this film will bring a good name to Suvikshit as a hero. We request everyone to support the film on May 15.”
Heroine Geetika Das shared, “This is a film we made with a lot of love. It will definitely move audiences emotionally. It’s a very cool and refreshing film for this summer. Such love stories are rare, and I’m sure Telugu audiences will like it.”
Hero Suvikshit revealed the real inspiration behind the story: “During a Giripradakshina at Arunachalam, I met an elderly man who was begging. When I spoke to him, his life story deeply moved methat became the base of this film. It explores why a father had to end up begging because of his own son. This is a story woven around a real incident. If anyone watches this film without crying, I’ll personally settle their life,” he said emotionally. “The story also shows how Doordarshini brings a couple together. Even while talking about it now, I get emotional. We are even ready to give a handkerchief free with the ticketbecause no one can watch this without tears.”
Lavanya Reddy added, “This film offers a beautiful theatrical experience. Set against the backdrop of the Godavari region, it’s a heartfelt love story that will surely entertain and leave you with a feel-good experience.”
