The trailer begins with heartwarming moments that highlight the close bond between a father and daughter, before suddenly shifting into a tense and unsettling situation. Rajiv Kanakala plays Prasad Rao, a caring father whose life turns upside down when his daughter Swathi goes missing. The shift from warmth to worry sets a strong emotional tone, showing that the story is not just about a disappearance, but about love, fear, and hope.

Vasanthika appears as Swathi, whose presence is strongly felt even after she goes missing. The trailer briefly shows her dreams and the affectionate relationship she shares with her father, making her absence more impactful. As the mystery unfolds, the narrative gradually moves into an intense investigative phase.

Uday Bhanu takes on the role of Investigation Officer Rebecca Joseph, bringing seriousness and depth to the case. One key moment in the trailer hints that while evidence seems to be in front of everyone, an important truth might still be hidden. It raises intriguing questions  is her disappearance connected to her hostel life, workplace, or someone close to her? The trailer smartly builds suspense without revealing too much.

The supporting cast, including Gayatri Bhargavi, Hima Bindu, and Sri Ram Venkat, adds further emotional and narrative depth to the story. Their characters appear to play crucial roles in shaping the investigation and the emotional journey.

Krishna Poluru’s screenplay appears to balance emotion and suspense effectively, while the dialogues by Maidala Shruti add realism to the characters and situations. The background score by Sri Ram Maddury enhances the tension at key moments, complementing both the emotional and thriller elements.

On the technical front, Chandrashekar G.V’s editing keeps the pacing tight and engaging, while Ram K Mahesh’s cinematography captures the mood of anxiety and emotional vulnerability with visual clarity.

More than just a crime thriller, D/O Prasad Rao Kanabadutaledhu explores the pain of uncertainty, the strength of a father’s love, and the determination to find the truth. With its emotional core and suspense-driven storytelling, the series aims to deliver a compelling and immersive viewing experience.

The series will stream exclusively on ZEE5 from February 27.
