With 90% Occupancy, Audiences Back “Gurram Paapireddy”; Team Confident of Big Success
Starring Naresh Agastya and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles, Gurram Paapireddy is produced by Venu Saddi, Amar Bura and Jayakanth (Bobby), and presented by Dr. Sandhya Goli. Directed by Murali Manohar, the film is a dark comedy with a fresh and unusual concept. Recently released in theatres, the film is receiving positive word of mouth and good audience support. On this occasion, the team held a success meet in Hyderabad.
Producer Venu Saddi said the event felt more like a thank-you meet than a success meet. He expressed gratitude to the audience for supporting the film and said the dedication of the entire team helped the film reach this stage.
Producer Amar Bura thanked Venu Saddi, Dr. Sandhya Goli and Jayakanth for standing strongly with him. He said the comedy performed by Faria Abdullah, Naresh Agastya, Raj Kumar and Vamsidhar is getting big laughs in theatres. He added that the film’s music, visuals, artwork and production values are being widely appreciated.
Producer Jayakanth (Bobby) said the film is receiving good reviews and strong audience response. He mentioned that paid premieres went better than expected and several theatres are running houseful shows. He requested continued audience support to make the film a bigger hit.
Music director Krishna Saurabh said he hopes the positive response continues throughout the week.
Actor Vamsidhar Kosigi said Gurram Paapireddy stands out because of its fresh content and strong production values, which are rare for small films. He credited the producers for giving full support and requested audiences to continue encouraging such films.
Actor Raj Kumar Kasireddy said everyone is talking about the characters in the film and that Jivan’s role is getting special appreciation. He expressed confidence that good films will always find success and urged people who haven’t watched it yet to visit theatres.
Actor Jeevan Kumar said the film has been getting strong response from the premiere shows itself. After trimming some portions, the runtime has been reduced to 2 hours and 20 minutes, making the film more engaging and entertaining. He added that supporting small films will help the industry grow.
Director Murali Manohar said that although the morning shows were slow due to competition, occupancy increased from matinee onwards, touching 90 percent by evening. He said such response is very encouraging for a small film and expressed confidence that the film will perform even better over the weekend.
Heroine Faria Abdullah said she watched the film with the audience and felt the team delivered a strong entertainer. She requested people to watch the film in theatres and said the entire cast has added a special energy to it.
Hero Naresh Agastya said bookings on BookMyShow are very encouraging and theatres are running at nearly 90 percent occupancy. He added that trimming a few scenes and songs improved the film’s pace. He praised the director’s passion and thanked Faria Abdullah for actively supporting promotions.
