Support New-Age Films Like Gurram Paapireddy, Says Brahmanandam at Pre-Release Meet

The makers of Gurram Paapireddy held a grand pre-release press meet in Hyderabad ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on the 19th of this month. Starring Naresh Agastya and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles, the film is a dark comedy with a completely fresh concept. It is produced by Venu Saddi, Amar Bura, and Jayakanth (Bobby), presented by Dr. Sandhya Goli, and directed by Murali Manohar.

Speaking at the event, dialogue writer Niranjan said the team dared to make something different at a time when audiences often complain about routine commercial films. He requested viewers to support films that try new ideas and promised a unique cinematic experience.

Music director Krishna Saurabh shared that working on the film was exciting and creatively fulfilling. He said he experimented with new genres and mentioned that the song “Paisa Dum Dum” has already received a good response. He also revealed that Faria Abdullah will impress everyone with her singing talent.

Director Murali Manohar became emotional while thanking the producers for giving him complete creative freedom. He said the team worked hard to present a new-age film while staying rooted in Telugu nativity. He expressed gratitude to every artist and technician and invited audiences to watch and enjoy the film in theatres.

Producer Amar Bura praised director Murali Manohar for shaping the film beautifully and said the trailer response, especially from overseas distributors, has been very encouraging. He highlighted Yogi Babu’s comedy track and strong performances by the supporting cast. He also appreciated Naresh Agastya and Faria Abdullah for actively promoting the film and assured that the team plans to collaborate again in the future.

Actress Faria Abdullah said she plays the character Soudhamini and described the film as a unique dark comedy. She praised the director’s passion and Krishna Saurabh’s music and background score. She also revealed that she wrote, sang, and choreographed one song in the film. Faria thanked the producers for a stress-free and enjoyable shooting experience.

Actor Naresh Agastya said he felt proud to play the lead role and revealed that he appears in multiple getups, including an old-age look that required a lot of effort. He thanked the director and producers for taking good care of the cast and crew and said the film’s music and comedy dialogues are major highlights.

Legendary comedian Brahmanandam said he plays a judge who narrates the story to the audience. He praised the film’s fresh storytelling and said Yogi Babu’s comedy will be a special attraction. He appreciated the performances of all actors and the producers’ commitment to quality. Brahmanandam urged audiences to support new-age films made by newcomers, saying such encouragement will help the industry grow.
