Director Srinivas Manne Speaks About the Film

Talking to the media, Srinivas Manne shared his journey and vision for the film:

On his long break after Katha

I received great appreciation for Katha, and Genelia even won the Nandi Award for her role. Though the film wasn’t a commercial hit, it was well-regarded. I stepped back for personal reasons, but with Damodar Prasad’s support, I’m happy to be back with this project.

On staying updated with changing cinema trends

Cinema is my dream, so I never stopped learning. I wrote many scripts during the break and watched a lot of Korean and Hollywood films. Technology keeps evolvinglighting, sound, and overall craft have improved a lot. Even then, a strong story is the most important.

What makes Eesha different

This is not just another horror film. It explores themes like life, death, creation, and divinity. Everything is interconnected. We focused heavily on technical aspectsmakeup, costumes, lighting, and soundto create the right impact.

On how scary the film is

There are genuinely shocking moments. The intention isn’t to scare for no reason, but the story demanded this treatment. The censor board found it very scary but appreciated its strong content. People with weak hearts should avoid it.

On his confidence in the film

Horror has its own loyal audience. With the backing of Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati, we are confident about the film’s reach.

On the film’s themes

The movie also touches upon friendship, emotions, and the thin line between superstition and belief. People dismiss spirits until they experience something themselves. The film presents this idea with sensitivity.

Do spirits exist?

You will get your answer after watching the film, he said with a smile.

Can children watch it?

Yes. Today’s kids watch Korean horror films toothey will enjoy this.

Impact of Akhil Raj’s recent success

The success of Raju Weds Rambai is definitely an advantage. But every character in Eesha will stand out.

Future plans

I want to explore all genres. I have many stories ready.
