Japan Welcomes Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule; Release Date and Trailer Announced
Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, in collaboration with Japanese distributors Geek Pictures and Shochiku, are bringing Pushpa 2: The Rule to Japan. The film, starring Icon Star Allu Arjun, will release in Japanese theatres on January 16, 2026, under the title Pushpa Kunrin.
The announcement came with a warm greeting to Japanese audiences “Konnichiwa, Nihon no Tomo yo” (Hello, friends of Japan) followed by the launch of a specially dubbed Japanese trailer and striking new posters featuring Pushpa Raj in his signature style.
After creating history with its massive worldwide release in five Indian languages on December 5, 2024, Pushpa 2 is now set for a global expansion. Earlier reports suggested the team aimed to give the film an international appeal, and this Japanese release is a big step in that direction.
Directed by Sukumar, the film sees Allu Arjun once again praising his director, calling him the driving force behind the franchise’s success. The cast includes Fahadh Faasil as the formidable cop and Rashmika Mandanna, whose performance in the Jathara sequence received special appreciation. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar.
