Mohit Suri on Why ‘Humsafar’ from Saiyaara is Close to His Heart: Inspired by Sachet-Parampara’s Real-Life Bond

Yash Raj Films’ upcoming romantic drama Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, is shaping up to be the most loved album of the year. The fourth song from the film, “Humsafar,” sung and composed by the hit duo Sachet–Parampara, has just been released and it’s already striking a chord with fans.

The film stars debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and Mohit Suri reveals that “Humsafar” holds a special place in his heart not just for its music, but for how it shaped his lead actors’ chemistry.

Sachet & Parampara became a real-life example for Ahaan and Aneet,” says Mohit. “The two actors spent time with them, watching how they create music together, get inspired by each other, sometimes even disagree and yet come together to build something beautiful. That energy influenced the way Ahaan and Aneet approached their characters.

So far, Saiyaara has already delivered three hit tracks the title song, Jubin Nautiyal’s emotional “Barbaad,” and Vishal Mishra’s romantic ballad “Tum Ho Toh.” “Humsafar” adds a new chapter to this love story one about companionship, trust, and the joy of finding someone who makes life feel complete.

This song represents a different season of love one where romance is peaceful and reassuring,” explains Mohit. “It’s about how everything feels right when you’re with the one who truly understands you.”

He also praised Sachet & Parampara for bringing a new layer of magic to the album. “They’re among the brightest music talents in the country today. Their sound brings a fresh kind of romance to Saiyaara it’s both soulful and modern.”

The film marks a big moment for Yash Raj Films, which is known for iconic love stories, as it joins hands with Mohit Suri for the first time. The teaser has already impressed audiences with its intense emotions and the fresh chemistry between the lead pair.

Saiyaara also has a beautiful meaning a wandering star. In poetic terms, it reflects something luminous, dreamy, and unreachable a perfect metaphor for a love story that’s both magical and moving.
