Andela Ravamidhi Teaser Unveiled by Director Harish Shankar  

The much-anticipated teaser of Andela Ravamidhi has been officially released by renowned filmmaker Harish Shankar. Directed by Indrani Davuluri, who also plays the lead role, the film is produced under the Natyamargam Productions banner, presented by Shiva Bhattiprolu. The movie features an ensemble cast, including Vikram Kolluru, Tanikella Bharani, Aditya Menon, Jayalalitha, Adi Lokesh, and IDPL Nirmala in key roles.  

Even before its release, Andela Ravamidhi has garnered significant recognition on the international stage, winning accolades such as Best Debut Film at the DC South Film Festival, Best Woman-Made Film at the India Independent Film Festival, and Best Director at the Global India International Film Festival.  

Speaking at the teaser launch event, Harish Shankar expressed his admiration for Indrani Davuluri's dedication to preserving Indian art and culture. "I share a great bond with Indrani’s family, who are now settled in the U.S. Her passion for classical arts is truly inspiring, and she has been instrumental in teaching traditional dance forms to young learners abroad. In an era dominated by commercial cinema, Andela Ravamidhi stands out as a film made with a heartfelt commitment to showcasing our rich cultural heritage. I commend Indrani and her team for this remarkable effort and urge everyone to support this film."  

Tanikella Bharani, who plays a significant role in the film, shared his thoughts: "Movies like Sagara Sangamam and Shankarabharanam inspired countless people to explore Indian classical music and dance. Indrani, whom I consider a daughter, has taken on a similar mission with Andela Ravamidhi. As a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, she has overcome immense challenges to complete this film. Independent cinema demands great resilience, and she has achieved something extraordinary. It is our collective responsibility to support such meaningful films."  

Director Krishna Chaitanya highlighted Indrani’s scholarly contributions to the field of dance: "She has written a book on the physical endurance required for dancers practicing Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam. Her dedication to preserving these art forms is commendable. Along with Sai and Suresh, she has worked tirelessly on this project. With the support of Harish Shankar and Bharani garu, I hope this film receives the recognition it deserves."  

Actor Aditya Menon, who shares a longstanding association with Indrani, added: "I have known Indrani for over 15 years. We worked together in a Malayalam film where she was known as Yamini Sharma. After her marriage, she moved to the U.S. and has since been an ambassador of Indian art. Andela Ravamidhi is a testament to her unwavering passion. The entire team, including Suresh and Sai, has given their best to this project, and I sincerely hope their efforts are rewarded."  

Addressing the gathering, Indrani Davuluri emphasized the timeless value of Bharatanatyam: "This 2,000-year-old dance form is an integral part of our cultural identity, and it is crucial to keep it alive for future generations. Unlike Western dance styles, which have physical limitations with age, Bharatanatyam can be performed throughout one's lifetime. Our film aims to celebrate this enduring tradition. The journey of making Andela Ravamidhi has been challenging yet fulfilling, and I am grateful to my team for their unwavering support. The film has already received multiple awards, and we are hopeful for more international recognition.
