Superstar Mahesh Babu and acclaimed director SS Rajamouli have joined forces for an exciting globe-trotting action thriller, tentatively titled SSMB 29. The film was officially launched today with a pooja ceremony at the Aluminum Factory in Hyderabad, attended by Mahesh Babu, although media coverage of the event was limited.
Produced by KL Narayana under the Durga Arts banner, this project marks his return to film production after more than twenty years. The story is written by Rajamouli's father, the renowned writer K. Vijayendra Prasad, and is inspired by two novels by Wilbur Smith, for which the rights have been acquired. The music will be composed by MM Keeravaani.
There is significant speculation that the film will be developed in two parts, with the first installment expected to hit theaters in 2027, followed by the second part projected for release in 2029.
