Shashtipoorthi: A Celebration of Family, Culture, and Values  

Veteran actor Nata Kireeti Dr. Rajendra Prasad promises a heartwarming family drama with his latest film, "Shashtipoorthi."  

Starring Rajendra Prasad in a moving role, the film blends emotions, traditions, love, and family values, offering a meaningful cinematic experience. Produced under Maa Aaie Productions, "Shashtipoorthi" features Rupeysh in the lead role alongside National Award-winning actress Archana and Akanksha Singh. Notably, this marks the reunion of Rajendra Prasad and Archana after 38 years, following their classic collaboration in Ladies Tailor. The film is helmed by debutant director Pavan Prabha and produced by lead actor Rupeysh Choudhary.  

The film’s glimpse was unveiled recently, capturing the attention of cinephiles.  

Speaking at the event, Dr. Rajendra Prasad expressed gratitude for his career and the opportunity to work on films with cultural depth. "Shashtipoorthi is more than a film; it's life itself," he shared, emphasizing its focus on Telugu traditions and values. Drawing parallels to his past hits like Aa Naluguru and Mr. Pellam, he invited audiences to experience the film with their families in theaters, highlighting its universal appeal.  

He praised Rupeysh’s dual role as actor and producer, calling him a dedicated learner and committed professional. Rajendra Prasad also acknowledged the contributions of legendary art director Thota Tharani and lyricist Chaitanya Prasad, who penned soulful songs for the film.  

Actress Archana, returning to Telugu cinema after a hiatus, expressed her joy in working with Rajendra Prasad again. “He is a living legend, and his presence adds immense value to any project,” she said. Archana praised the film’s team, including music maestro Ilaiyaraaja and art director Thota Tharani, for their exceptional contributions.  

Archana also described Akanksha Singh as a “Bapu Bomma,” referring to her classic beauty and grace, and shared her blessings for the younger actors and crew.    

Actor-producer Rupeysh shared his excitement about making his debut with a film that celebrates Indian culture. “Shashtipoorthi is close to my heart. I hope audiences shower their blessings on us,” he said.  

Chaitanya Prasad, who has written impactful songs for the film, called it a special project akin to Aa Naluguru. “Writing for Ilaiyaraaja sir was a dream come true,” he said, lauding the team’s commitment to crafting a timeless story.  

Director Pavan Prabha revealed the film’s deep-rooted connection to family values and traditions. "Our story conveys morals and ethics that resonate universally. Rajendra Prasad sir, Archana ma’am, and the entire cast have elevated the narrative to another level,” he said.  

Akanksha Singh, who plays the female lead, expressed her gratitude for being part of a meaningful project. “This film has a beautiful story, and I’m honored to play Janaki,” she shared. She also credited the cast and crew for creating a film that audiences will cherish with their families.  

"Shashtipoorthi" boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Prabhas Sreenu, Jabardasth Ram, Chalaki Chanti, and more, who praised the film’s emotional depth and cultural significance.  

Behind the scenes, the film is powered by Ilaiyaraaja’s soulful music, Thota Tharani’s masterful art direction, and Karthika Srinivas’s crisp editing. Lyricists M.M. Keeravani, Chaitanya Prasad, and Rehman have penned impactful songs, while Ayesha Mariam designed the film’s costumes.
