“Band Melam Will Be a Sure Blockbuster” – Director Bobby at the Glimpse Launch
Band Melam, presented by Mango Mass Media and produced by Kona Venkat under Kona Film Corporation, is directed by Satish Javvaji and stars Harsh Roshan and Sridevi in the lead roles. The film is gearing up for release on March 13. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, Trivikram released the film’s glimpse on social media. Director Bobby and writer BVS Ravi attended the press meet as chief guests.
Speaking at the event, director Bobby said he specifically wanted the glimpse to be released on Valentine’s Day. After watching it, he was highly impressed with Roshan’s performance and even called him personally, stating that he has the potential to become a big star in the future. He praised Sridevi for her strong screen presence and performance, and appreciated director Satish Javvaji for his sharp writing and satirical touch. Bobby expressed confidence that the film will be a blockbuster and make a strong impact. He also lauded the visuals by Satish Muthyala and the music by Vijay Bulganin, while appreciating producer Kona Venkat’s conviction and support towards meaningful cinema.
Producer Kona Venkat shared that he produces films only when he truly connects with the story. He recalled how he immediately loved the narration of Band Melam, similar to how he felt during Ninnu Kori. A single dialogue from the film convinced him to back the project. He said he could only imagine Roshan and Sridevi in the lead roles and moved forward once they agreed. He also thanked Trivikram for instantly supporting the glimpse launch and credited writer-editor Shiva Mupparaju as a strong pillar behind the film. He expressed confidence that Band Melam will remain a memorable film.
Writer BVS Ravi revealed that he had already watched the film and was pleasantly surprised by the final output. He appreciated Satish Javvaji’s direction, Satish Muthyala’s cinematography, and Vijay Bulganin’s music. He also praised the performances of Roshan and Sridevi and urged audiences to support the film on March 13.
Harsh Roshan thanked the audience, the Wall Poster team, and Nani for their support for his earlier film Court. He expressed gratitude to Kona Venkat, Bobby, BVS Ravi, and Trivikram for encouraging the team and said he hopes Band Melam will stay in the hearts of the audience.
Sridevi said the film is very special to her and that it was the first story she heard after Court. She mentioned that audiences who remember her as Jabili will now remember her as Rajamma, a character that will make viewers both laugh and feel emotional. She thanked director Satish, producer Kona Venkat, and music director Vijay Bulganin, and said working with Roshan again was a wonderful experience.
Director Satish Javvaji thanked Kona Venkat for believing in him during a difficult phase of his life. He said he wrote every scene with emotion and filmed them with the same sincerity. He added that the performances of Roshan and Sridevi elevated the film, and praised Vijay Bulganin for delivering a beautiful album.
Bekkem Venugopal said he liked the story very much and introduced it to Kona Venkat, who supported the project wholeheartedly. He expressed confidence that the film will become a big success upon its release.
Music director Vijay Bulganin thanked the team for trusting him and said the music sittings with the director and producer were memorable. He praised the lead actors’ performances and hoped the film would become a big hit.
