“Pithapuramlo – Ala Modalindi”
An emotional love story directed by Mahesh Chandra
After making an impressive debut with Preyasi Raave and delivering notable films like Ayodhya Ramayya, Cheppalani Vundi, Joruga Husharuga, Okkade, Hanumanthu, Aalasya Amrutam, and Red Alert, director Mahesh Chandra is now coming with his latest film “Pithapuramlo”, subtitled “Ala Modalindi”.
The film features an ensemble cast including ‘Natakireeti’ Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Prudhviraj, Kedar Shankar, Mani Chandana, Jayavahini, and Annapurnamma, among others.
Produced under Mahesh Chandra Productions, the movie is backed by Dundigalla Balakrishna, Akula Suresh Patel, and FM Murali (Godari Kittayya). The shooting has been successfully completed, and post-production work is in full swing.
Director Mahesh Chandra shared that “Pithapuramlo” is a blend of romance and family emotions.
“The story revolves around three couples and how their love journeys are affected by the shortcomings in their fathers’ upbringing. Every viewer will relate to some part of this emotional narrative. The film captures the changing essence of Pithapuram beautifully,” he said.
The movie was extensively shot in Pithapuram and its surroundings for 28 days, Hyderabad for 15 days, and Goa for 6 days. It features three melodious songs — one filmed in Goa, another on a specially designed set in Hyderabad, and the third at Aditya College, Surampalem.
Mahesh Chandra added,
Inspired by Movie Mogul D. Ramanaidu garu, who gave me my first break as a director, I believed in this story and made the film with utmost sincerity and care, without any wastage. We’ll be announcing the release date soon.
