Glorious Unveiling of Mukkuraju Master’s Statue on TFTDDA’s 35th Anniversary

The Telugu Film and TV Dancer and Dance Directors Association (TFTDDA) celebrated a proud moment on Wednesday with the unveiling of a statue of their founding president, Mukkuraju Master, at their office. The event marked the 35th anniversary of the association’s formation.

Renowned actordirector R. Narayana Murthy unveiled the statue as the chief guest. Film Chamber President Bharat Bhushan, Directors Association President Veerashankar, Film Chamber General Secretary Damodar Prasad, veteran directorproducer Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar, TFTDDA President Joseph Prakash, General Secretary Dewara Srinivas, and other key members attended the ceremony.

Speaking after the unveiling, R. Narayana Murthy praised Mukkuraju Master’s vision and contribution:  

"Mukkuraju Master laid a strong foundation for the dancers' community and the 24 crafts of Telugu cinema. Without him, this association would not have grown to this level. His support for newcomers and his humanity are unforgettable. I am honored to unveil his statue. I also urge CM Revanth Reddy to provide permanent housing for cinema workers at Chitrapuri Colony," he said.

Tammareddy Bharadwaja added, "Without Mukkuraju Master, there would be no Film Federation. He laid the first brick with the Dancers Union, inspiring many other unions. His efforts built a strong foundation for today’s success. Congratulations to the committee for honoring him with this statue."

Damodar Prasad shared a personal memory, saying, "I met Mukkuraju Master in 1986. His commitment to the association was incredible. We must carry forward his dreams."

Veerashankar, President of the Directors Association, said, "Remembering great leaders like Mukkuraju Master keeps our history alive. The Dancers Union deserves heartfelt congratulations."

Film Chamber President Bharat Bhushan assured full support to the association for all its future endeavors.

Ammiraju noted, "Very few unions have their own buildings like the Dancers Association. This shows the strength and unity of the group. Congratulations to everyone involved."

Following the ceremony, the association announced plans to organize a cricket tournament in Mukkuraju Master's name.

TFTDDA Vice Presidents M. Basavaraju, K. Suresh, Joint Secretaries Siriginedi Ramakrishna, G. Bala Krishna, Executive Committee Members K. Kokila, K. Sridevi, K. Satish Goud, K. Chinna, P. Sadanandam, P. Suresh, P. Narasimhudu, and G. Mahesh Kumar were present at the event.
