Headlined by Sukriti Veni Bandreddi, daughter of acclaimed director Sukumar and Tabitha Sukumar, Gandhi Tatha Chettu is an emotionally charged, message-driven film slated for release on January 24th. 

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Gopi Talkies, and directed by Padmavathi Malladi, the film features a talented cast, including Anand Chakrapani, Raghu Ram, Bhanu Prakash, Nehal Anand Kumkuma, and Rag Mayur. The musical score is composed by Ree.

This award-winning drama tells the inspiring story of a young girl dedicated to saving her grandfather’s tree by following the Gandhian principles of peaceful resistance and non-violence. Central to the narrative is the principle of Ahimsa, which underscores the film's themes of ecological balance, female empowerment, and the importance of harmonious relationships. Gandhi Tatha Chettu emphasizes love, coexistence, peace, hope, and empathy.

Producers Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, and Sesha Sindhu Rao present this film, supported by Tabitha Sukumar.

Sukriti Veni has already garnered acclaim for her performance, winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Child Artist for her role in Gandhi Tatha Chettu. Additionally, she received awards for Best Debutante Child Artist at both the Dubai International Film Festival and the Indian Film International Festival. The film itself has won several prestigious awards, including Best Picture at the 11th Noida International Film Festival, Jury Best Film and Best Regional Film at the New Delhi Film Festival, and Jury Best Film at both the Jaipur International Film Festival and the 8th Indian World Film Festival.
