SV Krishna Reddy’s 75th Birthday Celebrated Grandly; ‘Vedavyas’ Making Video Unveiled
Veteran filmmaker SV Krishna Reddy, known for delivering several memorable family entertainers to Telugu audiences, celebrated his 75th birthday in a grand manner at the Film Nagar Cultural Center, Hyderabad. The occasion was made even more special with the launch of the making video of his upcoming film Vedavyas.
Adding to the celebrations, Telugu Book of Records International honored SV Krishna Reddy with a World Record recognition for the rare achievement of composing music for 38 films that he himself directed.
Vedavyas is being presented by K. Achchi Reddy and produced by Kommuri Pratap Reddy under the Sai Pragati Films banner. The film introduces Pidugu Vishwanath as a hero, along with Korean actress Joon Hyun Ji and Mongolian actor Sharan Bold Segment to Telugu cinema. The shooting has been completed, and the film is currently in post-production.
Speaking at the event, producer Kommuri Pratap Reddy praised SV Krishna Reddy as both a remarkable filmmaker and an inspiring human being. He said the director has always created meaningful family-oriented films and that Vedavyas was conceived to showcase the greatness of the Vedas and their relevance to society. He expressed happiness over the World Record recognition and wished the director many more achievements.
Senior actor Murali Mohan described the event as a festival-like celebration and wished SV Krishna Reddy good health and success. He appreciated the efforts behind Vedavyas and hoped the director would continue making films for many more years.
Several industry personalities including Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, Relangi Narasimha Rao, Damodara Prasad, Ashok Kumar, Laya, Srikanth, J.D. Chakravarthy, Ali, and Shivaji Raja shared their experiences of working with SV Krishna Reddy and praised his contribution to Telugu cinema. They highlighted his ability to create clean family entertainers, memorable music, and meaningful stories that have entertained generations.
Hero Pidugu Vishwanath said it was a privilege to make his debut under the direction of a legendary filmmaker like SV Krishna Reddy.
Expressing his gratitude, SV Krishna Reddy thanked everyone who attended the celebrations and said receiving a World Record recognition on his birthday was a memorable blessing. He also sought the audience’s support for Vedavyas.
Producer Achchi Reddy recalled his long journey with SV Krishna Reddy and said Vedavyas is a special project developed over several years with great dedication. He credited producer Kommuri Pratap Reddy for his unwavering support and confidence in the film. Achchi Reddy also appreciated the efforts of the entire cast and technical team and expressed confidence that Vedavyas would mark a strong comeback for the team.
