‘Viplava Veerudu’ Shooting Begins with Grand Pooja
The shooting of Viplava Veerudu, a film based on the bravery of common people during India’s freedom struggle, has officially begun. A grand pooja ceremony was held at the Filmnagar Temple to mark the launch.
The film is directed by S. Nagaraj Rao and produced by AV Jayaram under the banner AVJR Productions. Renowned actress Indraja plays a key role, while Jaiswar and Sonali Shetty appear as the lead pair. Senior writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna gave the first clap for the muhurat shot, formally inaugurating the shoot.
Speaking at the event, Indraja said the film presents a realistic and powerful story from the freedom movement, showing how ordinary people became revolutionaries. She will be seen as Rani Bhavani Devi and expressed confidence that the film carries a strong message.
Hero Jaiswar shared that portraying Viplava Veerudu is a special experience for him and believes the film will make a lasting impact.
Debut actress Sonali Shetty said she feels thankful for the opportunity and sought everyone’s support and blessings.
Director S. Nagaraj Rao called the project his dream film and said it is a historical story set during British rule, with Indraja playing a very important role.
Producer AV Jayaram explained that the story is set in the era of Tipu Sultan and highlights how the British exploited India through trade, delivering a meaningful and thought-provoking message.
Actor Patel Ashok Reddy added that the film brings to light the sacrifices of unsung heroes who fought for the freedom we enjoy today.
