Rajamouli Launches Teaser of Sree Vishnu’s Investigative Thriller Mrithyunjay

Produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati under Lightbox Media and Picture Perfect Entertainment, the film is presented by Ramya Gunnam. After the success of Samajavaragamana, Sree Vishnu and Reba Monica John are pairing up once again. The film is scheduled to release on February 27.

At the teaser launch event, Sree Vishnu said that Mrithyunjay is a complete investigative thriller made with honesty and sincerity. He mentioned that such films, without commercial elements like songs, comedy, or typical romantic tracks, are rare in Telugu cinema. He appreciated director Hussain Sha Kiran for handling the story with dedication and said the film will feel fresh in terms of visuals, locations, and storytelling. He also praised music composer Kaala Bhairava for adding a magical touch through the background score. According to him, the movie features very few characters and presents him in a new performance style.

Producer Sandeep Gunnam shared that Sree Vishnu has always chosen different roles throughout his career and never repeats himself. When director Hussain narrated the story, he felt that it required a strong performer and immediately thought of Sree Vishnu. He expressed confidence that the film’s technical team, especially music director Kaala Bhairava and cinematographer Vidhya Sagar, have elevated the project.

Director Hussain Sha Kiran said that many had asked whether the film included love or comedy tracks, but producer Sandeep encouraged him to stick to the story he believed in. He wanted a hero who could deliver a calm and powerful performance, and Sree Vishnu was the perfect choice. He added that in this film, the story itself is the hero. He also thanked production designer Manisha, cinematographer Sagar, music director Kaala Bhairava, and editor Sreekar Prasad for their contributions.

Mrithyunjay stars Sree Vishnu and Reba Monica John in the lead roles and promises to offer a fresh and intense thriller experience to the audience.
