Director Gopi Achara Confident Hey Bhagavan Will Be a Family Laugh Riot

 Hey Bhagavan is a Complete Comedy Entertainer with Strong Emotions – Director Gopi Achara

After delivering successful films like Little Hearts, Raju Weds Rambai, and Isha, the popular duo Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati are coming together once again with a full-length entertainer titled Hey Bhagavan. The film is being produced under the banners Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vas Works.

The movie features Suhas, Shivani Nagaram, senior actor Naresh, and anchor Sravanti in key roles. It is directed by Gopi Achara and produced by B. Narendra Reddy under the Trishul Visionary Studios banner. The film is scheduled for release on February 20.

Speaking to the media, director Gopi Achara shared interesting details about the film.

About His Journey

Gopi Achara revealed that he worked under Kannada director S. Narayan before stepping into filmmaking independently. He mentioned that Suhas was his junior in school and they have known each other for a long time. He has also worked with Suhas on films like Color Photo and Writer Padmabhushan.

Story Written for Suhas

The director said that he developed the story especially for Suhas, keeping his strengths in mind. Though Suhas was not involved in writing the script, he actively shared his inputs during the shoot.

Why Shivani Nagaram?

Suhas and Shivani had earlier impressed audiences as a pair in Ambajipeta. Since their combination was well received, the team felt it would be good to cast them together again.

What Inspired “Hey Bhagavan”?

According to Gopi Achara, comedy is Suhas’s biggest strength. So he designed the film as a full-fledged comedy entertainer. At the same time, the movie also carries strong emotional moments, especially the father-son bond, presented in a refreshing way. He believes the film will connect with audiences of all age groups.

Title Justification

The title Hey Bhagavan reflects situations in life when people naturally exclaim “Oh God!” The characters in the film experience many such moments, making the title perfectly suitable.

 About the Producers

Producer B. Narendra Reddy had previously made a Kannada film, and this is his first Telugu venture. The director appreciated his support and said the producer never compromised on quality. The film was completed in just 36 days with strong backing from Vamsi Nandipati, who has been involved since the scripting stage.

Suhas’s Role

Gopi Achara mentioned that Suhas’s character in this film will surprise audiences and present him in a slightly different shade from his earlier roles. Along with Suhas, actors like Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Harsha Vardhan, and Ajay Ghosh add to the entertainment. He described working with Naresh as a memorable experience.
