Niharika Konidela’s Gentle Concern Over Filmfare Stage Moment

“One Minute, A Lifetime” Niharika Konidela Voices Concern Over Debut Winners Missing Stage Speeches at Filmfare

The 70th Filmfare Awards South was a proud moment for Committee Kurrollu, as Sandeep Saroj won Best Debut Male and Yadhu Vamsi received Best Debut Director. The wins marked a significant achievement for the film and highlighted the arrival of new talent in Telugu cinema.

After the event, actor-producer Niharika Konidela shared a heartfelt note expressing her disappointment that debut award winners were not given a chance to speak on stage. While appreciating the scale and prestige of Filmfare, she pointed out how meaningful that moment is for newcomers.

She explained that for first-time winners, an acceptance speech is more than a formality — it represents years of hard work, struggle, and patience finally being recognized. “That one minute may last a lifetime,” she noted, stressing that even a brief opportunity to speak can be deeply emotional and memorable for emerging artists.

Her message was respectful and not a criticism of the awards, but rather a gentle appeal to acknowledge the emotional value of that first recognition on such a big platform.

Meanwhile, Committee Kurrollu continues to receive wide appreciation. The film earlier won Best Feature Film on National Integration, Communal Harmony and Social Uplift of Depressed Classes and Best Debut Director at the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024. It also gained recognition at SIIMA Awards 2025 and Gulf Academy Movie Awards 2025, strengthening its growing reputation.

Produced by Padmaja Konidela and Jayalakshmi Adapaka under Pink Elephant Pictures and Shree Radha Damodar Studios, and presented by Niharika Konidela, the film features a cast of newcomers along with P. Sai Kumar and Goparaju Ramana. Made on a budget of ₹9 crores, the film reportedly grossed ₹24.5 crores worldwide after its release on August 9, 2024, and is now streaming on ETV Win.
