Shambala’s Sound Is a Complete Theatre Experience: Sricharan Pakala

The Sound of Shambala Is Best Experienced in Theatres: Music Director Sricharan Pakala

Starring Aadi Saikumar in the lead, Shambala is produced by Rajashekhar Annabhimoju and Mahidhar Reddy under the Shining Pictures banner and directed by Ugandhar Muni. The film also features Archana Iyer, Swasika, Ravi Varma, Madhunandan, and Shiva Karthik in important roles. Music is composed by Sricharan Pakala, and the film is set for a grand theatrical release on December 25.

As part of the film’s promotions, music director Sricharan Pakala interacted with the media and spoke about his experience working on Shambala.

Sricharan Pakala shared that Shambala has multiple layers and themes, and he began composing music immediately after hearing the story. He praised director Ugandhar Muni for his deep understanding of sound and appreciated the dedication of the entire team. While he has worked on many thrillers before, he said that composing for a film that blends scientific and mythological elements was a completely new and exciting experience.

He explained that while everyone has access to similar instruments, his aim is always to create a unique sound. For a suspense-driven film like Shambala, sound plays a crucial role in keeping the audience engaged and even misleading them at key moments. He mentioned that the four songs woven into the narrative have turned out exceptionally well.

Having grown up listening to mythological stories, Sricharan Pakala said working on this genre felt very special to him. He used a wide range of instruments and even custom-made equipment that he personally developed to achieve the desired sound.

The music director also appreciated the producers for giving the team complete freedom, sufficient time, and strong support without any pressure. According to him, the film was made with no compromises in quality.

He added that both the songs and background score were completed smoothly. While the songs are being released one by one, he is confident they will be well received. He credited his team for bringing freshness to his music and said his background scores have consistently been appreciated by audiences.

Sricharan Pakala revealed that Shambala will feature a beautiful melody, continuing Aadi Saikumar’s tradition of having a memorable song in every film. He also mentioned that the end-title song will leave a lasting impact. Calling it a very different film for Aadi, he said the team has delivered a strong and engaging project.

Highlighting the importance of sound design, he said the film’s true impact can only be felt in theatres. The background score and soundscape are very unique, and several sound effects were even created using his own voice, which impressed the director.

Concluding, Sricharan Pakala said Shambala will take audiences into a completely new world. This film marks his 49th project, with Anumanapu Pakshi being his 50th. He emphasized that he puts the same dedication into every film, working tirelessly and ensuring originality in his music.
