Summer Holidays Movie Review: A Feel-Good Film That Brings Back Childhood Memories

Childhood summer vacations, visits to grandparents' homes, village adventures and carefree friendships are memories that stay with us forever. Summer Holidays takes us back to those beautiful days with a simple story filled with fun, emotions and nostalgia. The film features Rohan Roy, Arun, Khushi, Jayasudha, Rajeev Kanakala, Vasuki, Harshini, Harshavardhan and others in key roles. The technical team includes Sai Prakash as the cinematographer, Sinjith Yerramalli as the music director, and Srikar as the story writer and director. The film is produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni under the banner of Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainments, with Suresh (SK Media) handling the PRO responsibilities

Story

The film follows RV (Arun Dev), a young boy who is constantly under pressure from his father to concentrate on studies. To give him a break, he is sent to his grandmother's village during the summer holidays.

There, he meets KV (Rohan), a lively village boy who takes responsibility for managing a leased mango orchard. KV has a small dream of earning enough money to buy a saree for his mother. As the two boys spend time together, an unexpected friendship develops. Their village adventures, playful moments and emotional experiences gradually change RV's way of looking at life.

 Performances

Arun Dev and Rohan deliver natural performances and make their characters relatable. Arun does a good job portraying a boy struggling with academic pressure, while Rohan brings plenty of energy and innocence to his role.

Harshavardhan is convincing as RV's strict father, and Jayasudha adds warmth to the film as the grandmother. Vasuki also makes her presence felt with a supportive performance.

Technical Aspects

In this segment we must appreciate producer for productionvalues and also for choosing this kind of script director has done perfect job

The cinematography by Sai Prakash beautifully captures the greenery and peaceful atmosphere of the Godavari villages. The production design recreates the early 2000s setting quite well, adding to the nostalgic feel.

Shinjith Yerramilli's music and background score complement the emotional moments.

 Verdict

Summer Holidays is a simple film that reminds us of the happiness of childhood and the value of genuine friendships. It may not offer many surprises, but its pleasant atmosphere, natural performances and emotional moments make it a decent family watch. Those who enjoy nostalgic village-based stories and clean entertainers can give it a try.
