Tollywood Thanks Government & Police for Arresting iBomma Operator

At a press meet held today, the Telugu film industry expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Government and Police Department for arresting Imaddi Ravi, the main person running the notorious piracy website iBomma. Industry members said this arrest is a big win in the ongoing battle against digital piracy.

Bharath Bhushan said the press meet was organized mainly to thank the Police, Government, and the Film Chamber’s Anti-Piracy Cell for their dedicated efforts in catching the iBomma operator.

Producer C. Kalyan appreciated the senior police officers and international law agencies who supported the mission. He noted that Tollywood is the only industry with an active anti-piracy cell. He urged both State and Central Governments to continue helping the industry and stressed the need for strict punishments for piracy. He also suggested using social media to educate audiences about the damage piracy causes.

Chadalavada Srinivas Rao congratulated the police and Government. He mentioned that piracy is hurting small films the most and insisted on stronger server protection for Qube and UFO systems, with accountability if leaks originate from them.

Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar said piracy is a major reason behind the failure of many films. As technology grows, piracy methods also evolve. He praised the Telangana Government for taking action and catching those involved. He also said ticket rates should be balanced to bring families back to theatres.

Ammi Raju thanked the Government and Police for their continuous support and requested audiences to watch movies only in theatres.

Veera Shankar praised the efforts of the Anti-Piracy Cell and requested stronger laws, compensation for leaks, and better security systems. He noted that the Telangana Government is helping Telugu cinema make a global mark.

Muthyala Rama Prasad said the arrest was a major success but warned that many other piracy sites still exist. He called for stricter measures to stop them.

Bapiraju explained that producers and distributors suffer the most because of piracy since they invest huge amounts of money. He thanked everyone involved in catching the offenders.

Prasanna Kumar recalled that CM Revanth Reddy had promised full support to the industry. He said HD leaks before release exposed the seriousness of hacking and piracy. He thanked all officers involved and requested a dedicated cybercrime wing for such cases.

Media representative Rambabu said preventing piracy is better than reacting after the damage is done and assured that the media will support all anti-piracy efforts.
