Ukku Satyagraham Marks 100 Glorious Days with a Grand Celebration
The powerful slogan "Visakha Steel is Andhra’s Right" resonated across theaters as Ukku Satyagraham, a film opposing the privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, successfully completed 100 days. Featuring the people’s revolutionary icon Gaddar in a pivotal role, the film was helmed by Jana Star Satya Reddy, who also played the lead role.
To commemorate this milestone, a grand celebration was organized under the leadership of Nandi Awardwinning filmmaker Karem Vinay Prakash. The event, held at Vizag Public Library, saw an esteemed gathering of dignitaries, including former Deputy Mayor Dadi Satyanarayana, GVMC Brand Ambassador & senior actor Prasanna Kumar, noted film producer Karam Mamatha, acclaimed lyricistsinger Majji Devisri, and renowned directors Rakesh Reddy, Yadi Kumar, and Shubhashree Anne Evangelin. Several filmmakers, producers, and actors graced the occasion, honoring the film’s team with a silver crown, shawls, and garlands in recognition of their achievement.
Expressing his gratitude, Satya Reddy, who served as the film’s director, producer, and lead actor, shared his thoughts
Creating this film alongside the legendary Gaddar Anna was an honor. Ukku Satyagraham was made to raise awareness about the Visakha Steel Plant, the lifeline of Telugu people. The film was released in 150 theaters worldwide, and it's heartening to see it successfully run for 100 days in several locations. Now, I am setting my sights on a Bollywood project, India The Great, which will highlight India’s legacy on a global stage. Additionally, I am planning to establish a film studio in Visakhapatnam to support and nurture emerging talent.
