Victory Venkatesh, blockbuster hitmaker Anil Ravipudi, and the highly successful banner Sri Venkateswara Creations come together for the much-anticipated film "Sankranthiki Vastunnam." Presented by Dil Raju and produced grandly by Sirish, the film features Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh as the heroines. Sensational composer Bheems Ceciroleo has scored the music. The songs released so far have already become chartbusters, creating massive buzz. The trailer has further heightened expectations. Releasing on January 14, "Sankranthiki Vastunnam" promises to deliver an entertaining festival experience.
In a press meet, Venkatesh shared his excitement and insights about the movie.
How excited are you about "Sankranthiki Vastunnam"?
- This is another Sankranti in my career, and I’m thrilled to bring a clean entertainer to the audience. It also has a unique crime element, making it a new genre for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey of this film. Sankranti has always been lucky for me, with most of my films performing exceptionally well. I’m confident this one will also do wonders.
This time, the promotions seem very energetic. Any specific reason?
- It happened naturally. I loved the music and felt an instant connection. I enjoy dancing, and some tunes were so catchy that I couldn’t resist. The lively team, including director Anil and the two heroines, made the promotions even more exciting. We wanted to try something fresh, and the audience's response has been overwhelming.
Whose idea was it for you to sing a song?
- I heard the song at 2 AM and started dancing to it instinctively. It had crazy energy. I jokingly said I’d sing it, and the next thing I knew, I was recording it. The English words in the song made it even easier for me (laughs).
- The song sung by Ramana Gogula has also become a big hit. It’s great to have him back after a long time, and the audience’s response to the track has been amazing.
What excited you most about the story of "Sankranthiki Vastunnam"?
- The line “Ex-cop, ex-girlfriend, excellent wife” felt very fresh and exciting. I knew right away it was a minimum guarantee. Anil and I share a superhit combination, and we have a very friendly rapport. The comedy style in this film is slightly different—more subtle and fresh. The scenes and overall narrative have turned out brilliantly.
Your thoughts on Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh?
- Both of them have performed excellently in their respective roles. Their characters are very lively and engaging.
What about Bheems’ music?
- Bheems has worked extremely hard and delivered his best music yet. I knew the first tune itself was a hit, and it turned out to be a super blockbuster. The Godari Gattu song has crossed 85 million views, and all the songs have received an amazing response.
What was your reaction to playing an ex-cop character?
- It was a lot of fun. There’s a hilarious scene where the ex-girlfriend asks, “Are you still thinking about me? While I was away, you had four kids!” Such moments were a joy to perform. Speaking of kids, my character has four children in the film, and handling one of them in particular was a challenge (laughs).
- The climax dialogues are especially crazy, and audiences will love them. Youth will really connect with the humor.
Producer Dil Raju mentioned you manage everything on set so efficiently that producers don’t even need to visit. Your thoughts?
- (Laughs) Producers should visit! I’ve always treated every film like my own. I ensure everyone is happy and work sincerely. I’ve been associated with Dil Raju’s production since Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. It’s always a comfortable journey with them.
How was it completing the film in just 70 days?
- It feels great to finish a film so efficiently. Everything worked out perfectly as planned.
What would you like to tell the audience about the film?
- We’re coming with a very nice festival film. It’s full of entertainment, with a climax that will surprise everyone. It’s a film for kids, youth, and families alike.
How was your experience on Balayya’s Unstoppable show?
- I’m glad I went. It was a very good time and an enjoyable experience.
Do hits and flops affect you?
- My job is to work honestly and sincerely. Hits and flops are beyond our control, so I don’t overthink them.
Your social media posts are always positive. Any reason?
- Life should always be positive. Overthinking is unnecessary. Starting each day with a positive thought keeps life peaceful.
When can we expect Rana Naidu 2?
- Probably in March. The dubbing is done.
What’s next for you?
- We’re working on stories with Suresh Productions, Sithara, Mythri, and Vyjayanthi Movies. Nothing has been finalized yet.
All the best!
- Thank you!
