The story follows Li Fong (Ben Wang), a kung fu prodigy who is uprooted from his home in Beijing and relocates to New York City with his mother after a family tragedy. Struggling to adapt to his new environment, Li faces constant trouble, despite his desire to avoid conflict. When a friend needs his assistance, Li enters a karate competition, but soon realizes his skills alone won’t be enough. To help him succeed, Mr. Han recruits Daniel LaRusso, and together, they teach Li to blend their two martial arts styles for the ultimate showdown.
