aha launches a new show with Arka Media, Anya's Tutorial starring Regina Cassandra, Nivedhithaa Sathish

100% Telugu platform aha, after delivering blockbuster web originals like Mail, 11th Hour and Kudi Yedamaithe, is coming up with an intense, one-of-a-kind horror web series titled Anya's Tutorial. Starring Regina Cassandra, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Agastya in key roles, the show directed by debutante Pallavi Gangireddy is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media, the makers of Baahubali, the globally acclaimed Telugu film that set a golden standard for universally appealing storytelling.

Anya's Tutorial revolves around the title character (Anya), the face behind a popular YouTube channel, whose world turns topsy turvy when she encounters paranormal activity at her home. Will she use it to her advantage or pay a price for it later? Stay tuned to updates about Anya's Tutorial. The wait for the show, whose shoot commenced earlier this week, may seem exhausting already, but we promise it'll be fully worthy of your excitement and anticipation.

"Pallavi Gangireddy is a young director who's been an integral part of aha's creative team and we're more than glad to launch her first show as a director. aha is extremely glad to associate with Arka Media for Anya's Tutorial. It is unlike any horror story you've seen in the past. I am thrilled that audiences have wholeheartedly appreciated aha's efforts only a year and a half into our official launch. I take this opportunity to share that aha has now registered over 10 million downloads. Our constant and only quest is to come up with pathbreaking content for Telugu viewers," Allu Aravind, founder of aha, shared.

"Anya's Tutorial is a story that I and Sowmya Sharma (the writer) brainstormed about extensively through the lockdown. Now, to have names like Allu Aravind and Shobu Yarlagadda associate with an idea birthed during the lockdown is just a dream come true. Regina and Niveditha were my first choices for the show and I can't wait to share our story with the audiences soon," Pallavi Gangireddy, the director of Anya's Tutorial, added.

"I was 14 when I did my first film Kanda Naal Mudhal, with a female director (Priya). Now to do my first Telugu web series where both the writer (Sowmya Sharma) and the director (Pallavi) are women is such a happy coincidence. This is 2021 and sadly, we're still talking of women empowerment but I'm so happy that aha and Arka Media have taken a step forward to ensure more female representation in the entertainment industry. Anya's Tutorial is a story that I

completely resonated with, and I hope viewers will feel the same when they watch it on aha," actress Regina Cassandra stated.

"aha's founder, Allu Aravind, is such a positive influence in our industry and I can't say enough about how receptive he's to novel ideas. aha's growth as a top-class Telugu OTT platform is a landmark moment for many new-age storytellers. I know how difficult it is to build an OTT brand from scratch and keep audiences guild to the content. I was truly kicked when I heard of Sowmya's narration of Anya's Tutorial and was confident that this would offer audiences an out-of-the-box viewing experience within the horror genre. Someday, I'm sure I and Aravind (garu) will collaborate on a show with a Baahubali-an scale," Shobu Yarlagada of Arka Media said.

Anya's Tutorial is expected to wrap up the shoot by October and release for the Christmas weekend this year. The show spans seven episodes with a duration of 30 minutes each. Some of aha's high-profile releases in 2021 include Krack, Zombie Reddy, Naandhi, Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, Sulthan, 11th Hour, Ardha Shatabdham, Kala, Luca, Shylock, In the Name of God and Kudi Yedamaithe. Stay tuned to the one-stop destination for the best Telugu entertainment.
