The makers of Waltair Veerayya released two different promos introducing the characters of megastar Chiranjeevi and then mass maharaja Ravi Teja. All three songs released so far by the team featured Chiranjeevi. Now, it’s time to witness the two big forces together. The highly anticipated song- Poonakaalu Loading which will feature Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja together will be launched on December 30th. They offer New Year gift two days in advance.

The announcement poster alone gives poonakaalu. It sees Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja looking at each other ferociously. What it seems to be a jathara (carnival), as the set-up in the background hints. Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja appear in contrasting looks here. While Chiru appears in the title role, Ravi Teja played the role of a cop. We need to wait for another day to witness the Mega Mass Poonakaalu. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad scored a blockbuster album and the fourth song is going to break all the existing records and will become the mega mass song of the year.

The ambitious project of Bobby Kolli is being made lavishly on a big budget. Shruti Haasan will be seen as the leading lady opposite Chiranjeevi. The film is produced on a grand scale by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, while GK Mohan is the co-producer.

Arthur A Wilson cranks the camera, whereas Niranjan Devaramane is the editor and AS Prakash is the production designer. Sushmita Konidela is the costume designer.

While the story and dialogue were written by Bobby himself, Kona Venkat and K Chakravarthy Reddy penned the screenplay. The writing department also includes Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri.

Waltair Veerayya will be hitting the screens grandly worldwide on January 13, 2023.

 ‘Lucky Lakshman’ is a complete entertainer for the family audience: Hero Sohel

Bigg Boss Telugu fame Sohel is getting ready for the release of ‘Lucky Lakshman’, which will hit the screens on December 30. The out-and-out family entertainer stars Mokksha as the female lead. The film is produced by Haritha Gogineni and directed by AR Abhi. Ahead of the movie's release, Sohel talks about its highlights and also shares info about his career.

How has your experience been as a cinema hero?

I am enjoying this phase. However, I am not getting adequate rest. Things change when you are not a common man. It's not easy to handle celebrity status. 'Lucky Lakshman' has been going great guns in terms of promotions, content, songs, and the response for the teaser and trailer. Personally, I am still trying to figure out how to be with the media and all during interviews. I always like to be original. I can't put on an acting front in interviews. That's a minus for me. I can act only in front of the camera, not otherwise.

Do you think negativity has gone up in the days of social media?

If you are frank, some people receive it with a negative mindset. Out of 100, 20 people are like that. The other day, at the pre-release event, I said that I will bash up people who target my parents. We actors are humans with emotions. Not just me, no actor deserves abusive trolling. I am going to give it back if my parents are targeted. When the comments are negative after you make a movie by spending crores, you are naturally hurt. Toxic trolling disturbs us.

I don't understand why there is so much negativity on social media. A video in which I attributed my success to my father received just 500 views. But a video where I am seen warning trolls garnered 1.2 lakh views and attracted 700 comments/shares. Even videos related to 'Waltair Veerayya' didn't receive those many views. Why do people want to watch negativity?

How about your much-awaited 'Mr. Pregnant'?

That was the first movie I did after coming out of Bigg Boss. For some reason, its release got delayed. I worked on it for a year. The delay feels bad. When it gets released, the result will be great. The producer wants to close business before releasing it. I have given my sweat and blood for the movie. Its delay is a bit depressing.

What made you opt for 'Lucky Lakshman'?

After 'Mr. Pregnant', I did 'Bootcut Balaraju', which is a mass entertainer. 'Organic Mama-Hybrid Alludu' is a complete entertainer. It is a family film with cute love. 'Lucky Lakshman' came around the same time. Hard work and luck have to happen together. We need valuable relations that wish well for us.

How do you describe 'Lucky Lakhsman'?

It's a family film with a clean and healthy comedy. You won't find vulgarity in it. I play a software engineer in it. There is no embarrassing scene or line in it.

I am really lucky:

I spent 104 days in the Bigg Boss house. But what Chiranjeevi garu and Nagarjuna garu said about me on the 105th day mattered the most to me. It became a big plus. The finale offered me opportunities after I came out of the house.

It's all thanks to my father's support...

It's all because of my father's support that I have come this long. A heart surgery, one kidney, blood clot in brain... On the other hand, we are five in the family. He helped us sail through. My father alone supported my cinema dreams. At one stage, I got ready to do my father's job. But two days before I was supposed to sign the job papers, I migrated to Hyderabad to pursue acting dreams. TV serials would pay me up to Rs 50,000 per month. I used to send half the amount home. My father asked me if I had self-belief. He asked me to stay the course if I was confident.

'Lucky Lakshman' is technically strong

It's like a full meals. Everyone who worked on the movie did their best. The cinematographer I Andrew played a phenomenal role in the shoot getting completed in 28 days. It was a two-schedule movie. The frames are colourful. Anup Rubens' music and Prawin Pudi's editing are also top highlights.

A senior producer said that about me...

I am waiting for the audience's response this Friday. We screened the movie for a senior producer. He said that I am safe. It boosted us a big deal.

I am waiting with excitement...

Producer Haritha Gogineni garu is releasing the movie on her own. She is confident about the movie.

On welfare activities:

If we give away 10% of our income to others, the blessings will do good to us. I went out of my way to help pool finances to fund the surgery of a friend's infant child. Due to my intervention, the cost of surgery came down from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 6.5 lakh. I collected Rs 3 lakh from my sources. Through Sohel Helping Hands, I and 30 other friends are doing charity activities. We have financed heart operations for five kids. We have been supplying essential groceries to seven families. We are funding the education of ten children. From the Bigg Boss prize money of Rs 50 lakh, I spent Rs 10 lakh on orphanages.

TV serials experience is helping me...

The response for 'Lucky Lakshman' has been great. Acting in TV serials is adding to my experience. Most of the artists doing TV serials today entered the industry with the sole aim of becoming film actors. Due to some reasons, they couldn't land film offers.

 

I am doing four films currently...

I have got four films in hand. If I did not have acting calibre, I wouldn't have received these many offers. Someone like SV Krishna Reddy garu wouldn't have worked with me. They invested crores in my movies. 'Organic Mama Hybrid Alludu' came to me only because the director insisted that I be roped in as the hero. He convinced the producer. I will always be indebted to Krishna Reddy garu for tha

Lucky Lakshman producer Haritha Gogineni said, "I think 'Korameenu' is going to appeal to a wide section of the audience. I hope this movie and our movie 'Lucky Lakshman' both become hits."

Sohel said, "Cross promotions are very likable to me. Small films can earn collections only if 'word of mouth' is strong. I loved 'Prathinidhi' so much. I love the dialogue in it. 'Napolean' had a fresh concept. 'Korameenu' is the kind of film I would love to do someday. The trailer looks so promising. I hope 'Korameenu' and 'Lucky Lakshman' both become big hits."

Comedian Venu said that he is a big fan of Anand Ravi. He mentioned Ravi's previous movies and also said that 'Korameenu' is very engaging and gripping.

Writer Lakshmi Bhupala said that 'Prathinidhi' was supposed to be written by him and directed by Ravi first. "But something else happened. But Ravi's writing was so good that I might not have written it so well. Coming to 'Korameenu', the film seems promising. Kishori is a novel name. She looks like another Aparna Balamurali and Aishwarya Rajesh. I wish director Sripathy and others all the best."

Lyric writer Purnachari said that he has written four songs in the movie. "Korameenu is going to be a special movie. I have described the role of ego in a man's life. We have watched the movie and I can assure you that it's going to give you a bang for the buck. Fun, emotion and excitement are awesome," he added.

Lakshmi Priyanka said, "I have watched 'Korameenu'. It's very good. The audience are going to love it. Please watch it in theatres."

Actor Shatru said, "Everyone is egoistic. Our film tells the story of egos. Anand Ravi is a wonderful writer. The director Sripathy is very talented. This December 31, please watch our movie with your families."

Harish Uthaman lauded the film's cross promotions. "I was offered Meesala Raju character first. But I declined it. Karuna character was offered later. Ravi's writing is a big asset for 'Korameenu'," he added.

The film's cinematographer Karthik said that Korameenu's cinematography is metaphorical. Music director Siddharth Sadasivuni said, "I watched the movie while composing the background score. I didn't know when the movie was over. It was so thrilling."

Indu said that 'Korameenu' must be watched by one and all in theatres. Jabardasth Ram Prasad said that 'Napolean' is a film he loved a lot. "It's not an easy job to play a hero, direct a movie and also write it. Ravi garu did it. 'Korameenu', I hope, becomes a big hit," he added.

Raja Ravindra said that he has essayed a role he has never done before. "I thank Anand Ravi garu on this occasion. This is not a regular film," he added.

After giving that adrenaline rush with the teaser, the makers of promising star Sundeep Kishan’s Pan India film Michael have come up with the first single to begin the musical promotions on a blockbuster note.

Yes, the song Neevuntey Chaalu has all the potential to top the music charts. The song has a haunting theme which is so nicely composed by Sam CS. Sung by the most happening Sid Sriram, this song is heavenly and hits you right away. He croons the lyrics in a spectacular manner. The way he sings the number has romance, urge, and cooks up so many emotions. Kalyana Chakravarthy Tripuraneni penned some touching lyrics that are rich in Telugu flavor. This song gets only better once you listen to it multiple times.

The song begins with Divyansha Kaushik giving romantic signals to Sundeep by opening the gate of her house. When he’s in confusion, she invites him orally. Then, the duo gets into a romantic mood. The sizzling chemistry of Sundeep and Divyansha heats up the atmosphere. There is a lip-lock as well. The visuals truly are as pleasing as the composition and the vocals.

Ranjit Jeykodi is directing, while the most happening Production House Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP is mounting it on a massive scale, in association with Karan C Productions LLP. Michael is a joint production venture of ace distributor Bharath Chowdary and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao. Narayan Das K Narang is the presenter.

Star director Gautham Vasudev Menon is playing an antagonist, while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Varun Sandesh will be seen in important roles.

*హీరో సాయి రోనక్ మాట్లాడుతూ*...రాజయోగం ఒక రొమాంటిక్ ఎంటర్ టైనర్. రెండు గంటలు నవ్వుకునేలా ఉంటుంది. ఈ చిత్రంలో నేనొక డ్రైవర్ క్యారెక్టర్ చేస్తున్నాను.  క్లాస్ సొసైటీలో కలిసేలా ఉంటానని నన్ను డ్రైవర్ గా పెట్టుకుంటారు. మా ఓనర్ స్థానంలో నేను ఒక అమ్మాయిని కలిసేందుకు పెద్ద హోటల్ కు వెళ్తాను. నేను కోటీశ్వరుడిని అని ఆ అమ్మాయి, ఆ అమ్మాయికి డబ్బుందని నేను..ఇలా ఇద్దరం ఒకరి మీద మరొకరం బాగా ఎక్స్ పెక్టేషన్స్ పెట్టుకుంటాం. ఈ డ్రామా చివరకు ఎలా ముగిసింది అనేది ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉంటుంది. పదివేల కోట్ల రూపాయల డైమండ్స్ పాయింట్ కూడా ఇంట్రెస్టింగ్ గా ఉంటుంది. ఈవీవీ గారి స్టైల్ సినిమాల్లో ఉన్నట్లు ఒక ఛేజింగ్ తో సినిమా సాగుతుంది. ఫైట్స్, డాన్స్ వంటి కమర్షియల్ అంశాలతో పాటు రొమాన్స్ కూడా ఉంటుంది. అయితే ఇది రొమాంటిక్ ఫిల్మ్ అనేది బాగా బయటకొచ్చింది. అన్ని అంశాలుంటాయి. 

ఈ సినిమాలో రొమాంటిక్ సీన్స్ చేసేప్పుడు భయపడ్డాను. కొన్ని సార్లు దర్శకుడితో గొడపవడ్డాను. మొత్తం ఎడిటింగ్ లో చూశాక దర్శకుడి విజన్ అర్థమైంది. ఆయన చూపించిన సీన్స్ ఏవీ ఇబ్బంది పెట్టేలా ఉండవు. నాకు డాన్స్, ఫైట్స్ బాగా వచ్చు. ఇండస్ట్రీలో కొంతమంది స్టార్స్ కు డాన్సు నేర్పంచాను. ఆ స్కిల్ చూపించే అవకాశం ఈ చిత్రంలో కలిగింది. నాకు సహజంగా సాగే రియలిస్టిక్ మూవీస్ కంటే  కేజీఎఫ్, ఆర్ఆర్ఆర్ వంటి ఫాంటసీ చిత్రాలు ఇష్టం. రాజయోగం మాత్రం పూర్తి కమర్షియల్ గా సాగుతుంది. ఇలాంటి మూవీస్ కు లాజిక్స్ అవసరం లేదు. క్రియేటివ్ గా ఎంత బాగుంది అనేది చూడాలి. మీరు సినిమా చూడండి తప్పకుండా నచ్చుతుంది. నాకు ఇండస్ట్రీలో ఎవరూ గాడ్ ఫాదర్ లేరు. డాన్స్ లు నేర్పించడం వల్ల కొందరు ఆర్టిస్టులు పరిచయం అయ్యారు. ఈ సినిమా తర్వాత రొమాంటిక్ ముద్ర నాపై పడుతుందని అనుకోవడం లేదు. ఎందుకంటే ప్రస్తుతం నేను చేస్తున్న సినిమాలు దేనికది భిన్నమైనది. నీలకంఠ దర్శకత్వంలో థ్రిల్లర్ సినిమాతో పాటు అవికా గోర్ తో పాప్ కార్న్ అనే మూవీ, ఉషాకిరణ్ సంస్థలో ఓ చిత్రంలో నటిస్తున్న. ఇవన్నీ నాకు వెర్సటైల్ ఆర్టిస్ట్ గా పేరు తెస్తాయని ఆశిస్తున్నా. అన్నారు.

     ఐకాన్ స్టార్ అల్లు అర్జున్ కి అరివీర భయంకర అభిమాని ఆ టీనేజ్ కుర్రాడు. అష్టకష్టాలు పడి "అల వైకుంఠపురంలో" ప్రి రిలీజ్ ఈవెంట్ కి పాస్ లు సంపాదించాడు. ఐకాన్ స్టార్ ని సమీపం నుంచి చూసే క్షణాల కోసం తహతహలాడుతూ.... సభా ప్రాంగణం చేరుకున్నాడు.

Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin: Vaishnavi Chaitanya starrer Baby is heading for its theatrical release. The promotional campaign is underway now and the makers released the first song - O Rendu Prema Meghaalila recently. 

The song has garnered a stellar reception from the audience and it topping the trending charts on music streaming apps including Spotify and YouTube. It has struck a chord with all sections of the audience.

The beautiful vocal renditions and soulful composition by Vijai Bulganin have worked very well for this groove-worthy single. It is billed to be one of the best emotionally engrossing audio singles in recent times. 

As for Baby, the film is directed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN and Maruthi. The release date will be announced soon.

Talented actor and Bigg Boss Telugu fame Sohel is getting ready for the release of ‘Lucky Lakshman’, which will hit the screens on December 30. The out-and-out family entertainer stars Mokksha as the female lead. Its pre-release event was hosted by producer Haritha Gogineni on Tuesday. Director AR Abhi's father unveiled the big ticket during the event.

The event sought to begin a new trend in the industry by hosting the team of 'Korameenu', which will hit the screens on December 31. The two teams are supporting each other's content-driven films. Anand Ravi and Kishori Dhatrik of 'Korameenu' were there as guests.

Hero Sohel said, "Telugu people are the reason for my success. My father is behind my success. I have only known cinema and charity all my life. My producer Haritha garu is releasing this film on her own. Director Abhi is talented. We believe in the power of content. This film is a family subject. Raja Ravindra, Devi Prasad and Shani have got impressive roles. The Telugu people are my biggest strength. It's up to them to take our movie forward. They have always supported me. I hope their blessings stay with us this weekend. Anup Rubens' music is superb. Haritha garu is a daring and dashing producer. This December 30, our film will keep you in splits right from the first frame."

Director Abhi said, "With passion, we can do anything. I feel fortunate to have been born to my father. He always corrects me wherever I am. The teaser, trailer and songs of 'Lucky Lakshman' have spoken for our film. You will leave the theatre will the feeling of having watched a nice film. Sohel okayed this film in the first sitting. Cinematographer I Andrew is going to be my technician for all films. Anup's music is the biggest asset. No character in this film had a second choice. Prawin's editing and Bhaskarabhatla's lyrics stand out. Mokksha has done a nice job as the heroine. Everyone will fall in love with her character. I am aware of Sohel's financial and social status. He is always there to help people around him. He is beautiful both from the outside and inside. Haritha garu trusted me when nobody did. As a producer, she got involved in every craft."

Producer Haritha Gogineni said, "By God's grace, we are here today. I have a strong faith in God whatever I do. Abhi has always been passionate about cinema. He never gave up. I wanted to fulfill his desire. We have invested our labour into making this movie. Although it might be a small film in terms of budget, it's a big film otherwise. After delivering blockbuster movie Karthikeya 2, actor Nikhil Siddhartha came up with a romantic drama titled 18 Pages. Nikhil co-starred with Karthikeya 2 actress Anupama Parameswaran in this film that was completed a long time ago.

The film released in theatres on December 23rd and opened to positive reviews from audience and critics alike. With the positive reviews, the film created sensation getting breakeven on Day 1 itself.

With each passing day, 18 Pages, which arrived in theatres with little promotion, are gaining traction due to excellent WOM. It had a very good Monday that was comparable to the first weekend collections. This is truly incredible.

Experts predict that the film will have a strong holiday season and conitune it's sensation with terrific word of mouth. 18 pages has accumulated a worldwide gross of 13.5 crores and non-theatrical earnings in the region of 22 crores, propelling the film into double digit profits for everyone involved.

Ace filmmaker Sukumar has penned the script for 18 Pages. Produced by Bunny Vas, under the banners of GA 2 Pictures and Sukumar Writings, the music of the project has been provided by composer Gopi Sundar. దర్శకుడు భరత్ కోమలపాటి మాట్లాడుతూ....నేను 2004లో ఇండస్ట్రీకి వచ్చాను. మొదట్లో హీరో కావాలనే ఆలోచన ఉండేది. ఆ తర్వాత ఓ కార్యక్రమంలో నేను చేసిన డాన్సులు చూసి బాగా డాన్సులు చేస్తున్నావు అని మిత్రులు ఎంకరేజ్ చేశారు. ఆ తర్వాత ఆట కార్యక్రమంలో పార్టిసిపేట్ చేశాను. ఏ పాట చేసినా దానికో కాన్సెప్ట్ రాసుకోవడం అలవాటైంది. అలా కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ గా మంచి పేరొచ్చింది. పూరి జగన్నాథ్ గారు జ్యోతిలక్ష్మిలో ఓ పాట చేసే అవకాశం ఇచ్చారు. ఇలా కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ గా కొనసాగుతున్నా...నాకు డైరెక్షన్ మీద ప్యాషన్ ఉండేది. ఖాలీగా ఉన్నప్పుడు రకరకాల కాన్సెప్ట్స్, కథలు రాసేవాడిని. అలా రాసుకున్న కథే ఎస్ 5 నో ఎగ్జిట్. హైదరాబాద్ నుంచి విశాఖ వెళ్లే ఒక ట్రైన్ లో ఒక కోచ్ మొత్తం మంటలు అంటుకుంటాయి. ఆ ఒక్క బోగికే ఎందుకు అగ్నిప్రమాదం జరిగింది అనేది ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉంటుంది. సుబ్బు అనే పాత్రను తారకరత్న పోషించారు. ఆయన సీఎం సాయి కుమార్ కొడుకు. తన పుట్టినరోజు సెలబ్రేట్ చేసుకునేందుకు ఓ కోచ్ ను బుక్ చేసుకుంటారు. ఇందులోని వారంతా బోగిని అలంకరించుకుని పార్టీ చేసుకుంటారు. అప్పుడు సడెన్ గా కోచ్ డోర్స్ క్లోజ్ అవుతాయి. నో ఎగ్జిట్ అన్నమాట. ఆ తర్వాత అగ్నిప్రమాదం జరుగుతుంది. అసలా అగ్నిప్రమాదం ఎందుకు జరిగింది, ఎలా జరిగింది, ఆ తర్వాత ఏమైందనేది చాలా ఇంట్రెస్టింగ్ గా ఉంటాయి. కథనం ఊహకందదు. ఇందులో పొలిటికల్ డ్రామా కూడా చూపిస్తున్నాం. తారకరత్న 45 డేస్ ఈ సినిమా కోసం కష్టపడ్డారు. ఆయన ఎక్కువగా మాట్లాడకుండా తండ్రి చెప్పిన మాట ప్రకారం నడుచుకునే వ్యక్తి. నాన్న చెప్పిందే చేస్తా నాకేం తెలియదు అన్నట్లు ఉంటాడు. అలాగే టీసీ పాత్రలో అలీ గారు, మరో కీ రోల్ లో సునీల్ గారి నటన ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. ఈ సినిమా ప్రారంభం ముందు ఒక యానిమేటెడ్ సాంగ్ వస్తుంది. అందులో కథను పరిచయం చేశాక సినిమా మొదలవుతుంది. సినిమా చూసిన వాళ్లందరూ బాగుందని అంటారనే నమ్మకం ఉంది. ఇకపైనా దర్శకుడిగానే కొనసాగుతాను. అన్నారు.

నిర్మాత గౌతమ్ కొండెపూడి మాట్లాడుతూ...భరత్ నా ఫ్రెండ్. తనకు అనిపించిన ఇంట్రెస్టింగ్ పాయింట్స్, స్టోరీస్ చెప్పేవాడు. ఒకరోజు ఈ కథ ఎస్ 5 నో ఎగ్జిట్ కథ చెప్పాడు. నాకు బాగా నచ్చింది. కొత్తవాళ్లతో చేద్దాం బడ్జెట్ కంట్రోల్ చేయొచ్చు అని భరత్ అన్నాడు. అయితే కథ చాలా బాగుంది , ప్యాడింగ్ ఆర్టిస్టులతోనే వెళ్దామని డిసైడ్ అయ్యాము. కథ ఓకే అయిన వారంలోనే సెట్ వర్క్ స్టార్ట్ చేశాము. సాయికుమార్, అలీ, సునీల్ వంటి మంచి ప్యాడింగ్ తో ఎక్కడా కాంప్రమైజ్ కాకుండా నిర్మించాము. అందుకే ఎంతో మంది డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్ లు కాంపిటీషన్ కు  వచ్చినా సాగా ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్స్ వారు భారీ అమౌంట్ ఇచ్చి   రిలీజ్ చేస్తున్నారంటే సినిమా మీద ఎంత నమ్మకమో మీరు అర్ధం చేసుకోవచ్చు.  అలాగే ఒక హర్రర్ సినిమాకు మణిశర్మ లాంటి సంగీత దర్శకుడు బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ ఇస్తే ఆ సినిమా యే రేంజ్ లో ఉంటదో మీరే చూస్తారు. సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్ గరుడ వేగ అంజి కూడ మా సినిమా కు పెద్ద బలం. దాదాపు 200 పైగా థియేటర్ల లో విడుదల కానుంది. ఖచ్చితంగా మా టీమ్ అందరికీ ఈ చిత్రంతో మంచి పేరొస్తుందని ఆశిస్తున్నాం. అన్నారు.

'Annapurna Photo Studio' is the sixth film from Big Ben cinemas, which has to its credit meaningful movies like 'Pelli Choopulu', 'Dear Comrade' and 'Dorasani'. Producer Yash Rangineni has roped in Chaitanya Rao and Lavanya to play lead roles. Chendu Muddu of 'O Pitta Katha' fame is its director.

A village-based crime comedy, the film's Concept Poster and Title Reveal was made today at the hands of star director Harish Shankar. The title 'Annapurna Photo Studio' and a caption that says that beautiful photos will be clicked in the studio, are mentioned on the poster.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Shankar said, "The title sounds refreshing and it's the first such feeling I am having in a long time. In the old days, every village used to have a photo studio and we used to eagerly wait for our photo everytime. The 1980s backdrop of the film and the crime comedy genre seem promising. The title and the poster design are exciting. All the best to the entire team."

Director Chendu Muddu said, "I thank Harish Shankar garu for releasing the poster. This film is set in the 1980s. This crime comedy takes place in a village. I hope the film is going to be liked by the audience. They encouraged me when I debuted with 'O Pitta Katha'."

 Top Gear Is A Racy Thriller With A Different Story: Aadi Saikumar

Promising young hero Aadi Saikumar is coming up with a unique action thriller Top Gear directed by K.Shashikanth. Aditya Movies & Entertainments is presenting the film, while K. V. Sridhar Reddy is producing it under the banner of Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions. Giridhar Mamidipalli is the executive producer. Sai Sriram, who worked as a cinematographer for several superhit films, is working on the film, while Harshavardhan Rameshwar who right now is one of the busiest composers scored music for Top Gear. A few days ahead of the release, Aadi interacted with the media.

 How the movie is going to be?

Top Gear is a racy thriller. Director Shashikanth narrated two different stories. The other story is a political thriller. I felt the story of Top Gear is right for me. It’s about a cab driver who gets into trouble. What if the small problem becomes a big one. This is the story that happens in one day.

 What’s the story behind the title Top Gear? 

We didn’t lock the title, before starting the shoot. We felt it was an apt title when Top Gear was proposed. The protagonist needs to switch to Top Gear when situations demand him to do so. We also felt the title sounded stylish.

 What are the standout qualities you found in the director?

Shashikanth has good clarity on everything. Though our DOP Sai Sreeram is very experienced, Sashi designed every shot and Sai Sreeram also liked his work style. He’s very confident from day one. Editor Prawin Pudi also liked the final outcome.

 You mostly did thrillers? What motivated you to do Top Gear? 

I didn’t mean to do only thrillers. Every second script I’m getting is a thriller. It’s difficult to say no to thrillers. However, Top Gear is not completely a thriller.

 Will you do mass movies again?

The definition of mass has been changed, after KGF. People are not keen to watch regular mass entertainers. The story or the narration needs to be different. We are habituated to English favored movies. I heard a powerful script and it’s not a regular one.

 What do you say about the action part? 

Prithvi is a good fight master. He got a big break with Romantic. He follows the story and choreographs fights. The action part is very natural in the movie. There is a struggle in the fights as well. He took the best care while canning risky stunts.

 How crucial car’s role in the movie? 

Art director Ramanjaneyulu wanted the car to be good and special. He designed the car perfectly, as per the need of the story.

 How important is the music for the film? 

Of course, music is very important, especially the BGM. Harshavardhan Rameshwar is busy with Animal, Ravanasura and other films. He’s also very confident about the outcome. The movie has only one song.

 Do you want to come out of commercial format and try different concepts?

Yes, of course. Though I do commercial movies here and there, I’m keen on doing different movies. Top Gear is also a content-based movie. I’m also doing a web series for Zee5, and my character as well as the set-up will surprise you for sure. It’s an experimental project. Many are approaching me with commercial subjects. But I’m keen on doing more realistic films that have commercial viability.

Did you get negative roles?

I got, but I didn’t want to do it now. To be frank, I’m getting good offers now. I don’t want to take a wrong step now. But if I get something extraordinary, for sure, I’ll do negative roles as well.

 What are the highlights of the movie?

I think for sure the movie will be completely engaging. Everybody performed well. Mime Gopi played the main villain exceptionally. He is the main pillar. Shatru, Brahmaji, Satyam Rajesh were too good. Technically too, it’s a good movie. Cinematography and music are other big assets.

 What are your next projects?

I signed a movie for Lucky Media. It’s a good story with a new director. I’m also in talks for other projects. The shoot of the web series Puli Meka is already done. Kona Venkat is the producer. Chakravarthy who did Pantham with Gopichand is the director. It has good casting with Lavanya Tripathi, Suman, Avinash etc playing important roles. It’s no less than a cinema. It will have 8 episodes. I’m confident about that as well.

 Do you have any issues with heroine Riya Suman?

No, not at all. It’s nice working with her. We didn’t have many scenes together. She’s busy in Tamil now. Riya is doing a movie in Nayanthara’s banner.

 Are you planning to release the movie in other languages?

No for now. It will however be dubbed in Hindi. I feel due to the success of action movies like Garam in Hindi, there is good demand for Hindi rights of my movies. Lovely also worked well in Hindi. We told about Kashmir Hindi Pundits in Operation Gold Fish, much before The Kashmir Files was made. I was shocked to see the views count and comments for the movie.

 What do you say about the theatrical business and OTT market?

My movies are doing good on OTT. Due to unfavorable conditions, the theatrical business is not impressive. My previous movie Sashi also got good openings, but it didn’t fare well at the box office, though it performed well on OTT. My last movie Crazy Fellow also got good reception on OTT. We released it on 13th and Kantara came on 14th. There was a huge buzz for Kantara, two weeks before the release. I didn’t know whether it was a wrong release or some other reason for the film’s debacle at the box office.

 Do you plan to remake your dad’s movies?

No. But we want to remix- dad’s song 'Asalem Gurthukuradu' from 'Anthapuram'.

 Do you take family support, before finalizing scripts?

Definitely. I decided to start films, only after the script is locked.
