  Mammootty Introduced as ‘Burma Karthikeyan’ in ‘OM: Chapter 1 – Udhiram’

The makers of the upcoming action thriller ‘OM: Chapter 1 – Udhiram’ have unveiled a special character-introduction video featuring Malayalam superstar Mammootty. Released on the occasion of his birthday, the video introduces him as ‘Burma Karthikeyan’, an influential international smuggler.

The film stars Dhanush in the lead and is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who previously delivered the successful film Amaran. Mammootty’s powerful presence in the new video has added to the excitement around the project.

The glimpse begins with an Interpol investigation in Dubai, where officials are trying to trace a wanted criminal believed to be the head of a major international crime network. The investigation eventually leads to India, where the search for Karthikeyan intensifies.

The much-awaited reveal comes when a police officer asks, “Karthikeyan engada?” Mammootty then makes a stylish entry, immediately establishing the authority and influence of his character. Several action-packed moments and powerful visuals follow, offering a glimpse into his mysterious world.

One of the notable dialogues in the video describes Karthikeyan’s character as a smuggler with a sharp and unpredictable nature. However, the makers avoid revealing too much about his past, leaving viewers curious about his real identity, criminal connections and role in the larger story.

Mammootty’s stylish appearance, commanding screen presence and effortless performance are among the major highlights of the character-introduction video.

Produced by Wunderbar Films and R Take Studios, the film features an impressive ensemble cast including Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, Indrans, Naseeruddin Shah and Chaitu Jonnalagadda.
