‘Haiku’ Is a Refreshing Love Story That Takes Us Back to College Days: Kona Venkat
Starring Aegan, Sridevi (of Court fame), and Femina George, the romantic film Haiku is produced by Dr. D. Arulanandu and Mathew Arulanandu under the Vision Cinema House banner. Written and directed by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy, the film is set to release in theatres on October 23.
Renowned writer and producer Kona Venkat and Court fame director Ram Jagadeesh attended the film’s pre-release press meet in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Heroine Sridevi: Sridevi said the story touched her heart, and she immediately agreed to be part of the film after hearing it. She believes Haiku will connect with everyone, whether they are in love, in a relationship, or married, as it explores the different challenges of love. She praised Aegan for being humble and thanked the director and the entire team for their support. As this is her debut, she expressed hope that audiences would enjoy the film in theatres on October 23.
Hero Aegan: Aegan said Haiku is a special film for him and that the team worked very hard to bring it to the screen. He expressed confidence in the film and appreciated music director Sidhu Kumar for his work. He also shared that he has known director Yuvaraj Chinnasamy for ten years and was happy to collaborate with him on this project. Aegan expressed confidence that the team would return to Hyderabad for the film’s success meet.
Director Ram Jagadeesh: Ram Jagadeesh said he was happy to see Haiku reach Telugu audiences. He praised Sridevi, whom he fondly referred to as Jabili, saying she could express emotions beautifully through her eyes. He appreciated her hard work and said the film’s final output was pleasant. He also expressed confidence that young audiences would connect strongly with the story.
Kona Venkat: Kona Venkat said the Haiku trailer felt fresh and refreshing. He appreciated the producers for securing an OTT platform’s interest in the story before beginning the shoot, calling it a sign of the script’s strength. Describing Haiku as a genuine love story, he said the film captures the emotions and experiences of college life in a way that will take audiences back to their own college days. He added that the film is especially worth watching for Sridevi and welcomed Aegan to the Telugu film industry.
With its youthful romance and relatable emotions, Haiku is gearing up for its theatrical release on October 23.
