Romanchakam to hit theatres worldwide on September 3
The upcoming youthful entertainer Romanchakam is all set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on September 3. Presented by filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga under Bhadrakali Pictures, the film stars Sumanth Prabhas and Anantika Sanilkumar in the lead roles.
Produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga and directed by debutant Venugopal Reddy, the film promises a mix of love, comedy, friendship and thrills. Asian Cinemas, through Sunil Narang, is releasing the movie across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
A grand pre-release event was held in Hyderabad, with Vijay Deverakonda attending as the chief guest.
Team shares their confidence in the film
The event brought together the cast and crew, who spoke about their experiences working on Romanchakam.
Actors Kamal, Satish, Sohan, Mani and Narendra expressed their happiness at being part of the project. They thanked Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Pranay Reddy Vanga and director Venugopal for giving them an opportunity and said the film has a strong combination of friendship, comedy, love and entertainment.
Actress Manasa, who plays Sumanth’s mother, said the entire team worked with great passion. Costume designer Keerthana and choreographer Govind Master also spoke about the fresh work they brought to the film.
DOP Pawan Pappula said working on the film was a memorable experience, while music director Vasuki Vaibhav revealed that receiving a call from Sandeep Reddy Vanga was both exciting and a big responsibility. He expressed confidence that the film’s music would become an important part of his career.
Lyricist Chandrabose said the film gave him an opportunity to write meaningful songs and dialogues while retaining its fun and youthful mood.
Anantika: “Every day on this film felt special”
Heroine Anantika Sanilkumar thanked Vijay Deverakonda for attending the event and supporting the team.
She said working on Romanchakam was filled with happiness and fun. She praised Sumanth, director Venugopal and the technical team and requested audiences to watch the film with their friends and families on September 3.
Directors praise the new team
Directors Meher Ramesh and Souryuv appreciated Sandeep and Pranay Reddy Vanga for encouraging young talent.
Meher Ramesh said Sandeep has always supported new filmmakers and artists despite his growing stature. He praised the content and songs of Romanchakam and wished the entire team success.
Souryuv described Sumanth as a talented actor and said he hoped the film would take him to the next level.
Venugopal Reddy: “Sandeep gave me complete freedom”
Director Venugopal Reddy revealed that his association with Sandeep Reddy Vanga began after Kabir Singh. He said Sandeep immediately understood the story and later gave him complete freedom to make the film in his own way.
According to Venugopal, Sandeep simply told him, “This is your film and your vision. Just do it.”
The director said he wanted to tell a fresh story about the uncertainty youngsters experience after college. He also revealed that he chose mostly newcomers for the film because he strongly believed in his vision.
Venugopal said he saw a small scene from Mem Famous and felt Sumanth Prabhas was perfect for the lead role. He expressed confidence that audiences would notice Sumanth’s performance.
Sumanth Prabhas: “This film is a dream come true”
Sumanth Prabhas recalled the impact that Arjun Reddy had on young aspiring actors.
He said watching Vijay Deverakonda and Tharun Bhascker’s films gave youngsters like him the confidence to dream about cinema. He also thanked Vijay for supporting Mem Famous.
Sumanth said every day after entering the Bhadrakali Pictures office felt special and that working under Sandeep and Pranay Reddy Vanga has made him dream bigger.
He described Romanchakam as a cute and entertaining film filled with fun, friendship and emotion. He asked audiences to enjoy the film in theatres with their friends and families.
Pranay Reddy Vanga: “The film has come out very well”
Producer Pranay Reddy Vanga praised Sumanth’s performance and said his real personality closely matches his character in the film.
He also appreciated Anantika and the actors who played Sumanth’s group of friends. Pranay said the newcomers and technicians worked with great dedication and credited Venugopal for completing the film within the planned budget.
He expressed confidence that Romanchakam would open new opportunities for several members of the team.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga: “Venugopal earned my trust”
Producer and presenter Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that he was impressed by Venugopal’s narration from the beginning.
After hearing the story, Sandeep asked the director to show him a scene. Venugopal returned with a six-minute sequence, which impressed Sandeep even more than the narration.
Sandeep said he then handed over complete responsibility to Venugopal without interfering in his creative process.
He praised Sumanth’s innocence and performance, while also appreciating Anantika, the supporting cast and music director Vasuki Vaibhav.
Sandeep said Romanchakam will release on September 3, with premieres beginning on September 2. He wished Venugopal a memorable release day and assured audiences that the film would provide plenty of laughs and entertainment.
Vijay Deverakonda: “I saw a dream for cinema in Sumanth”
Speaking at the event, Vijay Deverakonda spoke emotionally about his bond with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Vijay said his relationship with Sandeep goes far beyond being director and actor or even friends and brothers.
Recalling the making of Arjun Reddy, Vijay said both of them took a huge risk when they had neither money nor a strong audience base. He credited their courage and belief in each other for changing their lives.
Vijay also remembered how Pranay Reddy Vanga and his family supported the film financially when they had very little backing.
Speaking about Sumanth Prabhas, Vijay said he saw a strong passion for cinema in the youngster’s eyes when they first met.
He said he immediately felt that Sumanth could become either a successful actor or filmmaker and decided to support him whenever possible. Vijay also recalled promoting Mem Famous and said he was happy to see Sumanth now working with Bhadrakali Pictures.
Vijay praised Sandeep and Pranay for continuing to encourage new talent and wished Romanchakam a big success.
He concluded by saying that success may come today or tomorrow, but people who believe in themselves and continue to work hard will eventually achieve it.
