‘VETA’ Launched with Pooja Ceremony; Sandeep Saroj and Satwika Jampa Lead Ashok Kotipalli’s Rustic Action Drama
Shree Radha Damodar Studios (SRD Studios) and ETV WIN Originals have officially announced their third production, ‘VETA’, with a traditional pooja ceremony. Directed by debutant Ashok Kotipalli, the film stars Sandeep Saroj and Satwika Jampa in the lead roles.
Set against the rustic backdrop of the Godavari region, VETA promises a powerful story filled with love, emotion, pain and action. The title and first look offer a glimpse into a raw village world that audiences have not seen before.
The launch ceremony was attended by Konidela Nagendra Babu, who handed over the script to the filmmakers. K.S. Ravi Kumar sounded the clap, while Sai Rajesh, SKN, VN Aditya and producer Phani Adapaka switched on the camera. Directors Meher Ramesh and Yadhu Vamsee, along with music director Anudeep Dev, were also present and wished the team success.
Speaking at the event, K.S. Ravi Kumar shared that director Ashok Kotipalli had narrated the story to him through WhatsApp around two weeks ago. He praised Ashok’s narration style, saying that the director explained every character, scene and dialogue with impressive emotion and expressions. He revealed that the story and his character immediately caught his attention. However, he chose not to reveal details about his role as it is closely connected to the film’s suspense. He also jokingly said that his Telugu would improve after completing the film, as he has plenty of dialogues.
Tanmai N, Creative Producer at ETV WIN, thanked the media for supporting the film’s launch. He said that VETA marks the second project featuring Sandeep Saroj with ETV WIN and the first collaboration between the actor and SRD Studios. He recalled the recognition received by the team behind Committee Kurrollu and said that VETA explores a different space that the makers believe will appeal to Telugu audiences.
Producer Phani Adapaka said that VETA is the third production from the SRD Studios and ETV WIN Originals combination. He thanked all the guests and media for their support and expressed special gratitude to Niharika Konidela for her continued encouragement. He also thanked Nagendra Babu for being a constant source of guidance throughout his journey in cinema.
Talking about VETA, Phani Adapaka said that the film has a strong village setting but is not just a regular rural drama. According to him, it is a commercial entertainer with strong emotions, action and an engaging story. He revealed that Sandeep Saroj will be seen in a completely new avatar, with an aggressive character and several action sequences. He expressed confidence that the film will create a different impression among audiences.
Sandeep Saroj thanked Nagendra Babu and all the guests for attending the launch and blessing the team. Speaking about the title, he clarified that VETA was selected because it perfectly suits the story and not merely because the title had previously been associated with a Chiranjeevi film. He added that the meaning behind the ‘hunt’ in VETA will be revealed through the upcoming promotional material.
Satwika Jampa said that being part of VETA is a special opportunity and an important milestone in her career. She expressed her excitement about working with Sandeep Saroj, director Ashok Kotipalli, SRD Studios and ETV WIN and said she is looking forward to learning and delivering her best.
Director Ashok Kotipalli, who is making his debut with VETA, thanked everyone who supported the project. He expressed his gratitude to Nagendra Babu, Sai Rajesh, SKN and Meher Ramesh for attending the launch. He particularly thanked K.S. Ravi Kumar for accepting his story and producer Phani Adapaka, Kalki Raja and the ETV WIN team for trusting him with his first directorial venture.
