“Vadhalane,” the second single from Chennai Love Story, was grandly launched in Hyderabad by Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravaani, with several prominent music directors attending the event and showering praise on the film’s music and visuals.
Starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya, Chennai Love Story is being produced by successful filmmakers SKN and Sai Rajesh under the banners Amrutha Productions and Mass Movie Makers. Sai Rajesh has penned the story, while Ravi Namburii is directing the film. Melody Brahma Mani Sharma is composing the soundtrack.
Speaking at the launch, M. M. Keeravaani said he became a fan of Sai Rajesh after watching Baby and expressed confidence that Chennai Love Story would strike a similar emotional chord with audiences. He praised Mani Sharma’s composition of “Vadhalane,” calling it a haunting melody that music lovers would cherish for a long time.
Keeravaani also highlighted that the film carries seven songs, adding that music is the heart of every memorable love story. He appreciated the chemistry between Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya, saying the pair looked refreshing on screen and that the visuals already hinted at a soulful cinematic experience.
The event turned into a musical celebration with composers including Madhavapeddi Suresh, Kalyani Malik, Anup Rubens, Hari Gowra, Mark K Robin, Sinjith Yerramilli, Chaitan Bharadwaj, Sweekar Agasthi, Suresh Bobbili, Vivek Sagar, and Sricharan Pakala attending as special guests.
Many of the composers spoke emotionally about their admiration for Mani Sharma and the impact his music had on their lives and careers. Several of them described “Vadhalane” as a melody that lingers in the heart and predicted the soundtrack would become one of the film’s biggest strengths.
Anup Rubens said Mani Sharma inspired him to become a keyboard player and described the song as deeply emotional and visually beautiful. Sweekar Agasthi, who once worked under Mani Sharma, called himself a lifelong fan and revealed he even promoted the film’s first single before sharing music from his own projects.
Kalyani Malik noted that films backed by SKN and Sai Rajesh are known for their strong visuals and soulful music, adding that Chennai Love Story appears to carry both in abundance. Vivek Sagar, Mark K Robin, and Chaitan Bharadwaj also praised the song’s melody and Mani Sharma’s timeless musical style.
Director Ravi Namburii admitted he felt nervous addressing a stage filled with celebrated composers and said “Vadhalane” would remain the most special song of his career. Cinematographer Daniel Viswas revealed the song was among the first portions narrated to him and said its emotional depth would feel even more powerful on the big screen.
Producer Sai Rajesh shared that he specifically requested Mani Sharma to compose seven pure melodies for the film, believing audiences have been missing that side of the legendary composer in recent years. He described “Vadhalane” as a song that would slowly grow on listeners and stay with them forever.
Hero Kiran Abbavaram recalled shooting the song in Pondicherry and said one emotional scene narrated by director Ravi moved everyone on set to tears. He added that audiences would connect even more strongly with the song after watching the film in theatres.
Actress Sri Gouri Priya said Mani Sharma’s songs inspired her from a young age and expressed happiness about acting in a music-driven love story scored by him. She also thanked the makers for giving her a role with emotional depth and importance.
With its soulful music, emotional storytelling, and strong creative team, Chennai Love Story is already building strong buzz among music lovers and movie audiences alike.
