Prime Video Releases Intense Trailer of “System” Ahead of May 22 Premiere
Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming original movie System, a courtroom drama that explores the clash between power and justice in society. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and produced by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, and Smitha Baliga, the film stars Sonakshi Sinha, Jyotika, and Ashutosh Gowariker in key roles.
The trailer introduces Neha, played by Sonakshi Sinha, a young lawyer trying to prove herself worthy of becoming a partner at her father’s law firm. To win a difficult case, she joins hands with Sarika, a smart courtroom stenographer played by Jyotika, who has her own hidden agenda. As the story unfolds, the trailer showcases emotional courtroom drama, intense confrontations, and the harsh reality of how money and influence can affect justice.
Speaking about the film, director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari said System is a story that challenged her creatively and emotionally. She added that the film reflects real social issues while also delivering a gripping cinematic experience. She expressed confidence that the performances of Sonakshi and Jyotika would connect strongly with audiences worldwide.
Sonakshi Sinha shared that playing Neha was both challenging and fulfilling, calling System much more than a courtroom drama. According to her, the film mirrors a society where justice is often influenced by class and power.
Jyotika described her character Sarika as layered and emotionally complex. She said the movie highlights the contrast between privilege and inequality in modern society and praised the realistic storytelling style of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.
System will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on May 22 in Hindi across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
