Manoj Manchu Balances Cinema and Social Service

AIKYA DHAIRYA SENA SAMITHI Will Stand for the People Who Need Support – ‘RawKing’ Manoj Manchu Speaks Openly About Social Responsibility, Films, Politics, Women Empowerment and His Future Plans

‘RawKing’ Manoj Manchu interacted with the media in an honest and emotional press meet where he shared his thoughts on AIKYA DHAIRYA SENA SAMITHI, public service, freedom of speech, cinema, politics, family, and his upcoming projects.

Speaking about how the organization started, Manoj revealed that the idea came from the desire to serve people on a larger scale.

We began this journey with blood donation camps across different regions. We started in Kukatpally, then continued in Kurnool, Kakinada, Tirupati, Vizag and several other places. This is not a one-time initiative. We want to continue this consistently and create a platform for people who genuinely want to help society. AIKYA DHAIRYA SENA SAMITHI should become a support system and a voice for those who often go unheard.

Explaining the thought behind the name, he said unity was the core idea.

I strongly believe society suffers when people stay divided. Unity is important, and that is why we chose the word AIKYA. We also named the organization after our children Dhairav and Devasena because this trust is equally personal to us. We want to nurture it with responsibility, respect and commitment.

During the interaction, Manoj answered several questions about the organization and his personal journey.

When asked if the organization has any specific agenda or structure, Manoj admitted they are still building the system.

Right now, we are organizing things step by step. Initially, it started in a very simple way, but now we are bringing professionals on board and giving it proper structure. People are already approaching us with different kinds of issues and requests for help.

He also spoke about supporting freedom of speech, especially for digital creators.

Recently, some influencers told us they were facing threats and video strikes for speaking against powerful people. I assured them that AIKYA will stand beside them legally and morally. We will strongly support freedom of expression.

Asked how he sees himself today after playing hero, supporting and negative roles in films, Manoj smiled and replied:

I’m simply an actor.

On politics, Manoj gave an interesting response.

I was born into politics in a way. I have always been on the people’s side.

Talking about decision-making in his life and career, he said he now prefers taking his own calls.

After 2016, I stopped allowing too many people to interfere in my film decisions. Today, I take my own decisions. My wife Mounika supports me, but we don’t decide things for each other.

When questioned about funding the organization, Manoj confirmed that they are currently managing it independently.

At present, we are investing our own money. As the organization grows, we will look at other ways to sustain it.

He strongly denied having any political agenda behind the trust.

There is absolutely no political agenda. We have been involved in service activities for a long time. We simply wanted to give it a proper identity and platform.

Speaking about women empowerment, Manoj said supporting women should be natural and not selective.

I have always stood for women and their issues. If I say I stand for people, that naturally includes women as well.

Talking about his birthday, Manoj became emotional remembering legendary lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry and his bond with Jr NTR.

Usually, I celebrate my birthday with Tarak gaaru and Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry gaaru. We miss him deeply. He remains immortal through his words.

On balancing personal life and social responsibility, Manoj clarified that the organization is designed to function beyond just him.

I cannot personally be available for every issue all the time. That is exactly why this trust was formed. The organization should continue serving people even without my direct involvement.

He also announced details about his upcoming film Rakshak.

With God’s grace, Rakshak will officially begin on June 7th with a grand launch event. It is a women empowerment story where I play a DCP. The film addresses important social issues and how society responds to them. Director Naveen has worked on this script for nearly three years.

Manoj further revealed that along with the launch of the film, the organization’s official contact details, rules and operational structure will also be announced.

When asked if the trust is restricted to certain locations, he clarified:

It is for Telugu people anywhere.

Speaking about his ambitious project David Reddy, Manoj shared that the film is progressing rapidly.

The glimpse will release very soon and it will speak for itself. Around 40% of the shoot is completed already. It is mounted on a very large scale and the producers are uncompromising in terms of quality. Recently, we completed a major schedule in Indore and received tremendous support from the local authorities there.

On his physical transformation, Manoj admitted the process was mentally challenging in the beginning.

The first few weeks are always the toughest. Once you overcome that phase, discipline becomes easier.

Asked about his father Mohan Babu’s support, Manoj responded warmly.

Nothing happens without my father’s blessings.

When questioned about unresolved family issues, he chose not to elaborate.

If you know whom to ask, ask them.

He also confirmed that the film What The Fish has been shelved despite the team’s excitement.

We genuinely tried hard to make it happen, but due to casting issues it could not move forward.

Talking about Mohana Raga, Manoj said the musical project is shaping up beautifully.

We are working with excellent musicians and technicians. Four songs are completed already, and the remaining songs are in progress.

Responding to questions about his birthday coinciding with Jr NTR’s birthday and teaser releases, Manoj said:

Good content will always find its audience. I’m excited for all good films.

He also opened up about Namasthe Toys and Namasthe World, the toy and sports brand initiative being launched by Mounika.

The platform will soon expand across Telugu states and Bengaluru. Detailed information will be announced shortly.

One of the biggest highlights of the interaction came when Manoj revealed:

My wife Mounika will definitely enter active politics and contest in the next elections.

However, when asked about contesting MAA elections himself, Manoj clearly responded:

No. Not for me.

Concluding the interaction, Manoj said both his cinema journey and social initiatives are moving forward together with equal responsibility and commitment. With films like David Reddy, Rakshak and Mohana Raga in progress, alongside the growing reach of AIKYA DHAIRYA SENA SAMITHI, Manoj Manchu appears focused on creating an impact both on-screen and beyond it driven by purpose, accountability and service towards people.
