“It’s exciting to see a big-scale Indian action film led by two women” Bobby Deol on working in Alpha alongside Alia Bhatt
Actor Bobby Deol is all praise for the upcoming action entertainer Alpha, calling it a refreshing and bold step for Indian cinema. Headlined by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, the film presents two women at the center of a high-octane action story something Bobby feels audiences will thoroughly enjoy.
Sharing his experience, Bobby said he had always wanted to collaborate with both Alia and Ranbir Kapoor. After working with Ranbir in Animal, Alpha gave him the opportunity to finally share screen space with Alia as well.
“I genuinely enjoyed being part of Alpha. It’s rare to see an Indian action film mounted on this scale with two female leads driving the narrative. That freshness is what attracted me the most. The film has a completely different energy and visual appeal that audiences will love experiencing on the big screen,” Bobby shared.
The actor also praised Alia’s dedication and commitment while preparing for intense action sequences.
“Alia is incredibly sincere and disciplined. She would arrive on set fully prepared and completely focused on her performance. Since this was a new space for her physically, I was impressed by the amount of effort she put into getting the action right. Pulling off realistic action isn’t easy, but she gave it everything she had,” he said.
Bobby further revealed that producer Aditya Chopra and director Shiv Rawail were particular about keeping the action gritty and believable.
“The vision was to make the action feel raw and authentic, so it demanded a lot from all of us during filming. It was physically intense, but I believe the effort will reflect on screen. Hopefully audiences will have a fantastic time watching it in theatres,” he added.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, known for the acclaimed series The Railway Men, Alpha also features Anil Kapoor in a key role. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on July 10, 2026.
