 TFDA Thanks Producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao for Backing 10 Films with ₹30 Crore


The Telugu Film Directors Association (TFDA) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao for coming forward to produce 10 films with a total budget of ₹30 crore under the association’s initiative.

A press meet was held on Monday where Srinivasa Rao attended as the chief guest. TFDA President V.N. Aditya, Treasurer Sai Rajesh, Vice President Samudra, and directors Naveen Medaram, Ajay Kumar, and Prasanna Kumar were also present.

V.N. Aditya (President)He said their newly elected committee is focusing on education, healthcare, and employment. He revealed that Srinivasa Rao shared this idea during Ugadi and decided to support directors in a big way.

He added that while only 10 directors will get the chance, this initiative will indirectly benefit over 100–150 assistant directors and technicians. A special committee is already reviewing scripts submitted by TFDA members.

He called this initiative “not just an opportunity, but a blessing” and thanked the producer wholeheartedly.

Sai Rajesh said it is a proud moment for TFDA. He explained that they were looking for ways to create employment, and Srinivasa Rao’s offer came like a blessing.

He promised that they will select the best stories, introduce fresh talent, and deliver quality films. He also mentioned that profits from these films will go back to the association.

Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao  said he doesn’t usually like publicity, but agreed to announce this at the request of V.N. Aditya.

He shared that even if he hasn’t earned much money from cinema, the satisfaction of serving the industry gives him happiness and good health. He recalled working with legends like ANR and Shobhan Babu.

He expressed concern that while costs have increased, theatres have reduced, and many talented directors are not getting opportunities. That is why he decided to support them.

He emphasized making quality films with discipline, starting shoots early and completing them efficiently. His goal is to help new talent sustain in the industry.

Ajay Kumar:He said such an initiative is rare and may not have happened anywhere before. He praised Srinivasa Rao’s vision and recalled their earlier successful collaboration.

Prasanna Kumar:He highlighted the producer’s generosity during COVID, where he financially supported film workers and families. He called this initiative another great step to support the industry.

Samudra:He said this idea was given as a “Ugadi gift.” Srinivasa Rao assured them not to worry about losses and promised to share profits with TFDA. He expressed confidence that all 10 films will succeed.

Naveen Medaram:He shared his experience of making low-budget films successfully and said this opportunity is huge for many filmmakers. He hopes everyone will make the best use of it.

This initiative is expected to create opportunities for many new directors, assistant directors, and technicians, while also strengthening the Telugu film industry with fresh content and talent.
