Dhanush’s ‘Kara’ Set for Telugu Release on April 30, 2026
Marking his return to Telugu screens, Dhanush’s upcoming film Kara is all set to release in theatres on April 30, 2026. Directed by Vignesh Raja, the film will be released in Telugu by CH Sathish Kumar and Rajesh Kumar Bobbara under Vigneswara Entertainments – R Star Logistics.
The film is produced by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International, in association with Think Studios and Vigneswara Entertainments. Kara has already created good buzz across Tamil, Telugu, and overseas markets.
Dhanush has a strong fan following among Telugu audiences, thanks to successful films like Raghuvaran B.Tech (VIP), Asuran, and Saar (Vaathi). With Kara, he is returning with a project that is already generating strong interest.
The Telugu version of the song Kannamma Naa Kannamma has crossed 4.1 million views on YouTube, connecting well with the audience. Even though only one song is released in Telugu so far, viewers have been actively following the Tamil songs, promos, and interviews, showing good cross-language support.
After the success of Por Thozhil, director Vignesh Raja is expected to deliver a gripping and engaging story. The film stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, along with a strong supporting cast including Jayaram, K. S. Ravikumar, Karunas, and M. S. Bhaskar.
On the technical side, the film features cinematography by Theni Eswar, editing by Sreejith Sarang, and music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, whose previous works were well received in Telugu.
