Dhanush Calls Kara a Heartfelt Film at Telugu Pre-Release Event

 

At the Telugu pre-release event of Kara held in Hyderabad, Dhanush described the film as “a story of an ordinary man caught in extraordinary situations,” adding that it is a very special and heartfelt project for the entire team. The film is set to release in theatres on April 30, 2026.

Directed by Vignesh Raja, Kara is presented as a grounded, character-driven drama focusing more on emotions and realistic situations rather than commercial heroism. The film is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International, with music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The cast also includes Mamitha Baiju and K. S. Ravi Kumar in key roles.

The film is being released in Telugu by Vigneswara Entertainments, aiming to connect strongly with the Telugu audience. At the event, several guests including Sai Durgha Tej, Venky Atluri, and Buchi Babu Sana attended and expressed confidence in the film’s content and success.

Director Vignesh Raja shared that after the positive response to his previous film Por Thozhil, he wanted to make another honest and engaging film that respects the audience’s time. He said Kara is made with sincerity and aims to deliver a meaningful theatrical experience.

Actor K. S. Ravi Kumar spoke about his role and praised Dhanush for his dedication to cinema. Mamitha Baiju said the film helped her grow as an actor and called working with Dhanush a dream come true.

Special guest Venky Atluri appreciated the film’s teaser and expressed strong confidence that the movie would perform well. Sai Durgha Tej also praised Dhanush’s acting and said he admires his journey and performances.
