Actor Sivaji expressed his best wishes for Band Melam at the teaser launch, hoping the film, which releases on March 13, turns into a big success.
The film features Court fame Harsh Roshan and Sridevi in the lead roles. It is presented by Mango Mass Media and produced under the Kona Film Corporation banner by Kona Venkat, with Kavya and Shravya as producers. Directed by Satish Javvaji, the teaser was unveiled on Tuesday in the presence of chief guests music director Thaman and actor Sivaji.
Speaking at the event, Sivaji said the film is built around a beautiful love story. He revealed that he was initially offered a role but chose not to take it as he felt it might appear routine. He praised Sridevi’s talent and described Roshan as a gifted actor with a bright future, adding that Band Melam will help the team reach the next level. He also recalled that Court, which released on March 13, became a hit and wished the same success for this film.
Thaman shared that Kona Venkat played a key role in shaping his career and said his journey gained strong momentum after Dookudu. He praised Kona Venkat’s support for talent and said he was happy to attend the event. He added that watching Harsh Roshan and Sridevi reminded him of the freshness of classic love stories and appreciated Vijay Bulganin’s music, wishing the film a huge success.
Kona Venkat said the appreciation received for heartfelt films like Ninnu Kori inspired him to produce Band Melam. He mentioned that when director Satish narrated the story, he felt a strong emotional connect. According to him, the story has a fresh conflict and an engaging climax that will impress audiences. He said Roshan and Sridevi were chosen for their age-appropriate casting and strong acting potential and revealed that Sai Kumar was highly impressed with the story. He also praised Vijay Bulganin’s music and hoped the audience would support the film and encourage more new talent.
Director Nandini Reddy said she liked the teaser and believes the film will speak for itself after release. She appreciated the lead pair’s connection with audiences and wished Kona Venkat continued success in introducing new talent. She also expressed her admiration for Vijay Bulganin’s music.
Shiva Nirvana called Kona Venkat his godfather and credited him for encouraging many writers and directors in the industry. He said Band Melam is another platform for new talent and expressed confidence that the film will become a big hit. Venu Udugula said the teaser clearly shows that the film is made with sincerity and love rather than commercial intent.
