Rebel Star Prabhas’ much-awaited film “The Raja Saab” is gearing up for a grand Sankranti release, and the excitement reached its peak at the film’s pre-release event held in Hyderabad.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is being presented as a large-scale horror-comedy entertainer with strong emotional and mass elements. Producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad have mounted the film on a grand scale under People Media Factory, ensuring rich production values. The film stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar as the female leads and is set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 9, adding festive cheer to Sankranti.
Several members of the cast and crew shared their experiences at the event. Actors like Mahesh Achanta, Rohith, Saptagiri, and VTV Ganesh spoke about the massive fan craze surrounding Prabhas and described working with him as a memorable experience. Lyricist Kasarla Shyam revealed that he has written his first song for Prabhas in this film, which will be released soon as a special surprise.
Veteran actress Zarina Wahab expressed her happiness about acting in a Telugu film like The Raja Saab and praised Prabhas for his humility and kindness, calling him one of the finest human beings she has worked with.
The heroines also shared their excitement. Riddhi Kumar said the film is a complete entertainer that shows Prabhas exactly the way fans love him. Malavika Mohanan called the film a dream debut in Telugu cinema and said her role allowed her to explore romance, comedy, drama, and action. Nidhhi Agerwal described acting with Prabhas as a dream come true and praised the fun atmosphere on set and Thaman’s music.
Director Maruthi, speaking emotionally, said that The Raja Saab exists today because of the strong support from Prabhas and producer Vishwa Prasad. He highlighted Prabhas’ dedication, involvement, and encouragement throughout the project and expressed confidence that the film will deliver a memorable theatrical experience across languages.
Producer TG Vishwa Prasad said that although many assumed it to be a small film, the team worked for nearly three years to make The Raja Saab a grand spectacle. He added that it has the potential to become one of the biggest films in the horror-fantasy genre globally.
Concluding the event, Prabhas addressed his fans warmly, praising the entire team and especially director Maruthi’s work in the climax. He said the film offers full-fledged “Darling entertainment” after many years and urged audiences to watch it in theatres this Sankranti. He also mentioned that the trailer would be released soon and promised it would be impressive.
