Nayanthara Unveiled as Ganga in Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’
As the release of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups draws closer, the makers have revealed a powerful new poster featuring Nayanthara as Ganga. The film, starring Rocking Star Yash, is set to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, and each new update is steadily building excitement.
In her first look, Nayanthara appears strong, confident, and commanding. Set against a grand casino backdrop, her character Ganga is shown with a gun in hand, reflecting both elegance and danger. The look suggests a fearless woman who is in complete control, making her one of the key forces in the film’s intense world.
Known for her versatility and emotional strength, Nayanthara steps into a darker and more intense space with Toxic. This role presents her in a fresh and striking avatar, different from anything audiences have seen before.
Director Geetu Mohandas shared that she wanted to showcase Nayanthara in an entirely new light. As filming progressed, she felt a deep connection between the actress and the character, saying Nayanthara brought natural depth, honesty, and restraint to Ganga, making the role feel authentic rather than performed.
After the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2, Yash returns with Toxic, a film that promises to break conventions. Earlier reveals introduced Kiara Advani as Nadia graceful yet wounded and Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, whose old-world Gothic look added mystery to the narrative.
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in multiple Indian languages. The film features an acclaimed technical crew, including cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music director Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, and production designer TP Abid. Action sequences are handled by JJ Perry, along with Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on March 19, 2026, during the festive weekend of Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa.
