Audiences Will Walk Out Impacted: KL Damodar Prasad on Eesha

Eesha Will Leave Audiences with Real Emotions: Producer KL Damodar Prasad

Director Srinivas Manne, who earned acclaim with Katha, is back with his latest project the horror thriller Eesha, releasing worldwide on December 12. The film is presented by successful producers Bunny Vass and Vamsi Nandipati, under the banners Vamsi Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vass Works.

Trigun and Akhil Raj lead the cast, with Hebbah Patel as the female lead. The film also features Siri Hanumanthu, Babloo, and Prithviraj in key roles. Produced by Hem Venkateswara Rao of HVR Productions, the film is presented by noted producer KL Damodar Prasad.

Speaking to the media, Damodar Prasad shared his enthusiasm for the project:

After Father Chitti Umaa Kaarthik didn’t reach audiences the way we hoped, I stepped back for a while. When Srinivas narrated Eesha, the freshness of the idea instantly convinced me.

Srinivas is a sincere, hardworking director who deserves far more recognition. I watched the film multiple times during post-production, and every time, the emotional depth struck me even more.

Eesha may be a horror thriller, but it lands on a very realistic, emotional high. I’m confident viewers will leave the theatre carrying that feeling with them.

Trigun, Hebbah Patel, and Akhil Raj have all given standout performances. This film will be an important milestone for Trigun and Hebbah, and Akhil continues his momentum from Raju Weds Rambhaai. Prithviraj’s character will also be remembered.

In a genre like this, visuals and sound design matter immensely and the team has delivered exceptionally. We also have two beautiful songs rendered by Shreya Ghoshal and Shankar Mahadevan, whom I specifically requested for these tracks.

I believed completely in Srinivas Manne’s vision, so I gave him full creative freedom. Once I trust a filmmaker, I rarely visit the sets. The industry has evolved drastically post-lockdown, and producers must adapt to survive.

There was a time when our banner released several films in a single year, but circumstances today are very different. Issues like the recent Akhanda 2 situation are challenges many producers are facing and such matters must be handled directly by the respective film teams.
