The inspiring journey of Committee Kurrollu continues to make waves. Its young director, Yadhu Vamsi, has been nominated for Best Debut Director of an Indian Feature Film at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) a proud moment for Telugu cinema and a milestone in the filmmaker’s career.

Earning a debut nomination at India’s most prestigious film festival is no small feat. It places Yadhu Vamsi among a new generation of filmmakers whose first films stand out for their honesty, emotion, and social relevance.

Committee Kurrollu has already won multiple awards across platforms. At the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024, it bagged Best Feature Film on National Integration and Best Debut Director for Yadhu Vamsi. The film also triumphed internationally at the Gulf Academy Movie Awards (GAMA) 2025 in Dubai, where Niharika Konidela was honoured as Best Debut Producer, while Yadhu Vamsi once again received Best Debut Director.

Continuing its winning streak, the film shone at the SIIMA Awards 2025, with Niharika Konidela taking home Best Debutant Producer (Telugu) and Sandeep Saroj winning Best Debutant Actor (Telugu).

Produced by Padmaja Konidela and Jayalakshmi Adapaka under Pink Elephant Pictures and Shree Radha Damodar Studios, and presented by Niharika Konidela, Committee Kurrollu marks her first theatrical venture as a presenter. The film reflects a simple yet powerful approach telling stories rooted in real social issues with sincerity and heart.

Cinematographer Edurolu Raju beautifully captures the rural essence of the Godavari region, while Anudeep Dev’s soulful music adds depth and emotion to the storytelling.

Set in a small Andhra village, Committee Kurrollu follows a group of friends whose minor differences spiral into conflicts revealing deeper layers of caste, class, and morality. The film stars Sandeep Saroj, Trinadh Varma, P. Sai Kumar, Goparaju Ramana, Raadhya, Prasad Behara, Manikanta Parasu, Lokesh Kumar Parimi, and Yaswanth Pendyala a talented ensemble of newcomers who bring freshness and authenticity to the story.
