Man of Masses NTR Unveils STR–Vetrimaaran’s Intense ‘Saamrajyam’ Promo
The dynamic duo of actor Silambarasan TR (Simbu) and acclaimed director Vetrimaaran have joined hands for an ambitious new project under Kalaipuli S. Thanu’s prestigious V Creations banner. Titled Arasan in Tamil and Saamrajyam in Telugu, the film features music by none other than Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander.
The Telugu promotional teaser was unveiled online by Man of Masses NTR, who extended his best wishes to the team. Sharing his admiration for Simbu, he said, “Simbu’s best is yet to come, and no one can bring out his potential on screen better than Vetrimaaran.”
Breaking away from conventional short promos, the Saamrajyam team released an extended five-minute teaser that instantly grabbed attention. The video opens with Anirudh’s haunting background score, setting the tone even before the visuals appear. The first scene features director Nelson Dilipkumar outside a courtroom, as a man begins narrating a gripping story.
Simbu’s character introduces the film’s meta layer, saying, “Sir, what I’m going to tell you is realthe murders, the people, the town, everything. But still, you must add a disclaimer that says it’s all fictional.” Interestingly, fans feel NTR would have been a perfect fit for this powerful role.
As the promo unfolds, we see Simbu in a courtroom, accused in a shocking triple murder case. He pleads innocence, insisting he was wrongfully framed. The actor is seen in two strikingly different avatars an older version with a greying beard during the trial and a younger look in the flashback portions.
Vetrimaaran, known for masterpieces like Vada Chennai, once again appears to be crafting a raw, layered world of crime and emotion. The teaser closes with the intriguing line: “A story never told to anyone in the world of Vada Chennai.”
The Telugu version of Saamrajyam will be presented in association with Suresh Productions. The first shooting schedule has wrapped up successfully, and the second is set to commence soon, promising a gripping cinematic experience for fans across languages.
